Recent nouveau regression reported in IRC
Stuart, Thanks for that. I see that something similar to 0001-randr12-multiple-encoders-per-connector-DVI-I.patch has been comitted to git. RAOF has rebuilt his PPA and with that build of nouveau (1:0.0.10~git20080918-0~ppa1~hardy) X is starting and running. It is bugging me that I cant work out which git commit RAOFs PPA was built from. corruption in firefox with nouveau
Some minor visual corruption is evident in firefox on Ubuntu Hardy when using the nouveau driver (from RAOF's PPA) Best tested by: - Going to the ubuntu hardy default home page ( http://start.ubuntu.com/8.04/ ) - Reset zoom (100%) if zoomed in or out - Scroll down all the way (my screen is 1280x1024) - Scroll back up (slowly for best results) and you will see the top of the background corrupted. [RFC PATCH] Support running nested in a Mir compositor
From: Christopher James Halse Rogers <raof at ubuntu.com> Barring some (admittedly significant) missing optimisations? this is reasonably complete, but can't be applied until the Xserver patch has landed, and that needs more work. This demonstrates the approach, however. There's probably some code to be shared with XWayland su...

Introduction and discussion - Nouveau for Ubuntu Lucid
Hi, I've been following the list for a short while and scanned the archive. Apologies for missing any answers that were in the archive. I'm the Ubuntu kernel team member focusing on graphics during the Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.4) cycle. At the Ubuntu developer summit last week, we made the decision to include Nouveau in the Lucid kernel. I'd like to open a few topics for discussion

Bugs from Ubuntu - what would you like to see?
As you probably know, Ubuntu is switching from -nv to -nouveau as the default X driver for nvidia cards in the upcoming Lucid 10.04 release. We've got a pretty nice automated bug-reporting tool in Ubuntu called apport, which can grab all sorts of interesting logs and relevant information. Since we've switched over to nouveau by default, I expect the volume of bugs filed against the Ubuntu
