Help with tinc over http-tunnel
...uestion is how to achieve http-tunnelling using tinc 1.0pre7 or pre8? I'm hoping someone has managed to get this working, or knows at least in theory how it should work. Alternatively, does anyone know of another reasonably robust way of doing this? Many thanks for the great work! regards Ramen Tinc: Discussion list about the tinc VPN daemon Archive: http://mail.nl.linux.org/lists/ Tinc site: http://tinc.nl.linux.org/

SYSLINUX and local hard disk
...t figure out how to build a PXE rom using it! I've looked at hacking the local boot stuff from isolinux into syslinux (ldlinux.asm?), but my assembly programming is almost non-existent (for the PC) and I'm having a lot of trouble. Can you advise me how I can do this? thanks very much! Ramen

make tc stop!
I want to stop shaping from running on my box, without rebooting it. What''s the best way to get rid of any tc rules? I have tried "tc qdisc del dev eth0 root" which appeared to be successful but traffic through my box is still very slow. Where do I post patches?
I have found a few bugs in tc, and have produced patches for them. Two require changes to tc, one to the kernel. Where should I post these patches? -- Regards, Russell Stuart

about the traffic control
Hi, all: I''m involved in the study about the QoS,but have some problems , hope someone could help me answer: 1. Why most traffic shaping implement in the egress side (Uplink) rather than the ingress side(Dnlink)?(e.g. why put the police rule on the smaller bandwidth side but not put on the larger side) 2. I can''t differ the functionalities exactly

Syslinux with two-disk set (boot+root )
Hello there. I use (and love!) your syslinux software - also pxelinux and soon isolinux. I have been using it for build deployment purposes for some time now, however I recently updated my kernel and added some additional drivers to it, making it too large to fit on a floppy along with my ramdisk. This is no problem for my PXE-enabled clients, of course, but for those machines that do not

Netlogon no longer works in 2.2.6 with W2k client
Hi, We've got a fairly simple samba setup (no ldap/winbind etc) and until recently everything worked fine (using samba-2.2.5). But after switching to samba-2.2.6 w2k-clients fail to run the netlogon-scripts. When i look at the client it says: logonserver=\\<workstationname> BTW. The output of "nmblookup -S CPB" (to me) seems to say that CPB is the logonserver. querying CPB
