I have a Lenovo P50 and I am using Debian testing with Xorg 7.7 and Linux 4.12.
The machine has its HDMI connector wired to the built-in NVidia card GM107GLM
(Quadro M2000M). I am calling `xrandr --setprovideroutputsorce` to make the

How to get a review for a patch?
Hi all,
I submitted a small documentation patch [1] three weeks ago. This is my first
patch submitted against LLVM, so I was extra careful to follow the instructions
(turns out this is quite a bit more complicated than the pull-request-based
workflow). So far, I got no reaction at all to my patch. Does that mean I did
something wrong, like picking the wrong reviewer? Should I pick another

Change memcpy/memmove/memset to have dest and source alignment attributes
Hi Daniel,
a quick question (and kind-of a follow-up to
<https://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-July/115665.html>): Do the
pointers have to be aligned even if the size is 0? It would be nice to have
this stated explicitly in the LangRef.
Kind regards,
Ralf

I have a Lenovo P50 which contains an NVIDIA Quadro M2000M in reverse PRIME
configuration: The HDMI port is connected to the NVidia card. While getting an
image onto the HDMI port works just fine, there is no audio.
I asked about this on IRC, the l...

Change memcpy/memmove/memset to have dest and source alignment attributes
Hi all,
A quick note just to let people know that as of this past Friday my go at this work has been fully landed. It ended up being a back-burner item, so it took longer than I would have liked to get completed. None the less, the changes made were:
1) The IRBuilders in LLVM, Clang, and Polly were all updated to create only the new form of the memory intrinsics.
2) All LLVM passes to understand

[RFC] Stack overflow and optimizations
Hi Michael,
Please keep in mind non-C/C++ frontends. For example, in Rust, we promise to
avoid all undefined behavior in safe code. There is no reasonable compositional
analysis that can statically detect stack overflows (I know safety-critical
systems are subjected such analyses, but those could not reasonably be enforced
on all Rust code -- most of them just forbid recursion, for example), so

Using "doveadm pw" as unpriviledged user
Hi all,
Some time ago, I wrote a small CGI script to let users change their IMAP
password. The script runs as www-data user and uses "doveadm pw" to check if a
password hash matches a password.
Unfortunately, this means that I have to make large parts of my dovecot config
world-readable, as otherwise I get errors like this:
doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file
