Vertical applications?
...pplications, e.g. real estate, for
Asterisk?
I'm trying to market * in my area (Seattle) and would like to offer vertical
apps to my customers. These apps will help me compete with the big guys like
Cisco, Avaya, etc.
If you have an app, I'd be interested in discussing how my company
(www.rainiernetworks.com) might license it from you. The app does not need
to be a finished, whole product. I have staff that can help out fleshing it
out and packaging it.
Please contact me offline if interested.

appears dormant.)

PDC rejects browse sync sessionsetup
Hi,
I'm running Samba 1.9.18p4 on one subnet, and have Wincenter (Windows NT
3.51) server as the PDC. The servers from the remote subnet do not show
up in the browse list of the PDC and the following message appears in
the log.nmb file:
sync_browse_lists: RAINIER rejected the browse sync sessionsetup
RAINIER is the name of the PDC.

Vorbis stream on-line
Greetings:
Ouch, that's not good. I can tap into the stream just fine with 'xmms
http://64.108.112.135:8000/shouter.ogg' but not by clicking on the same
address as a link. More debugging ahead... ;)
Btw, I've restarted the stream.
Thanks for the report !

Perplexed with environment
Hi
I migrated from Linux to Mac, but I don't this has anything to do with
it, but I am not sure.
I am writing a small logger package, in which I have a file
aaa.R:
,----
| .logData <- new.env()
| assign("loggingThreshold", 10, envir = .logData)
| assign("logToFile", FALSE, envir = .logData)
| assign("logFileName", NULL, envir = .logData)

ao: Sun audio plug-in
Here's the promised Sun audio system plug-in.
I have tested this on OpenBSD. It should work without changes on
NetBSD, too. Jeremy, could you please verify this?
After a few minor tweaks it now also compiles on Solaris 2.7.
Alas, I can't verify whether it actually plays anything there.
I guess this could also with little effort be made to work on
SunOS4.

Linux and Samba vs WIN2K
...In mid-July I will be representing my colleagues
from National Park Service areas in the western US and Hawaii at a meeting
where the subject will be "Information Management/Technology Strategic
Planning." My colleagues are individuals who work at the individual parks
(i.e. Yosemite, Mt. Rainier, Hawaii Volcanoes, etc.) that support the users
and equipment.
Here is my dilemma (or opportunity): As far as I know I am the only office
that is using Linux in the server environment. Everywhere else it's Windows
(NT4 or WIN2K), at least in the individual parks. There are a few NIX's for...

It seems my service provider is requesting a complicated settings to allow me to send from behind NAT.
What they said:
