newbie question about running mysql
...start rails from the command prompt. But if I type
"mysql", I get an error saying it is not recognized as an internal or
external command.
MySQL 5.0.51 is installed on my system and I can run it using a GUI
but not from the command prompt. Any ideas how to get across this
hurdle? TIA.

Interesting Framework Speed Test Results. Shows Rails 1.2.1 trailing 1.1.6.
I found this little post over at the Slicehost forums (http://
forums.slicehost.com):

frameworks/
Speed test between Rails (1.1.6 and 1.2.1), Django (w/wo psyco and
threaded/pre-forked), TurboGears, Symfony, Catalyst etc. Nginx as the
front-end for all of them.
Even though they are simulated numbers I thought it might be
