Playing Rage (Steam version) with a gamepad
I'm playing the newly released game Rage by id software on my Arch Linux 64 bit box and runs quite nicely. I was beginning to wonder if it would be possible to ply the game with controller/gamepad? What is possible/easiest to set up with wine? I have an ps3 controller could that do the job or would it be easier to get an xbox 360 controll...

ATI Rage XL Driver for Centos 6.5
I have just installed Centos 6.5 on a Asus motherboard with an embedded ATI Rage XL controller (and with no room to install a more capable graphics card) and it is infuriatingly slow, running in VESA mode. Unfortunately this card is not supported "out-of-the-box" by centos 6.5 and after Googling I have not found that the kmod-fglrx-legacy driver from elrepo would wor...

Centos 5.4 with Rage
I'm trying to install a newly downloaded Centos 5.4 on an older Dell PowerEdge 300. Unfortunately, it came with one of those ATI Rage 2.0 video cards. The install screens show fine, and the initial screen does fine, but once it starts the "firstboot" section, where I'm supposed to select the firewall and such, I get two thirds of the top of the screen and a repeat of the top third on the bottom. Hence I don'...

SAMBA 2.0.6 vs HP's ASU/9000 LanMan (battle rages on)
Found the solution to my 2.0.6 dying on me on SGI - SYSV_IPC needed to be #undef'ed in source/include/includes.h in favor of MMAP, seems to have fixed it. If I run the daemon in server mode, no prob. If I switch to domain mode (and use smbpasswd to join into the domain, per the instructions), I get the error indicating that the username/password pair was incorrect, as if I typed in a wrong

Regression line limited by the rage of values
Hi In R, using plot(x,y) followed by abline(lm(y~x)) produces a graph with a regression line spanning the whole plot . This means that the line extends beyond the swarm of data points to the defined of default plot region. With par(xpd=T) it will span the entire figure region. But how can I limit a regression line to the data range, i.e between (xmin, ymin) and (xmax, ymax)? Sorry for

Total Tracks Tag?
...problem -------------------------- This summer I ripped/encoded some CDs on an iMac with OS X, and had some difficulties trying to get Ogg Vorbis files. <lament>why won't Apple support Vorbis?</lament> Two programs I used were "Ogg Drop", a ripper/encoder and "Vorbis Rage", a tagger. Ogg Drop http://www.nouturn.com/oggdrop/index.html Vorbis Rage http://www.chaoticsoftware.com/ProductPages/VorbisRage.html Unfortunately, these used different fields for "Total # of Tracks", so I became rather confused -- and regardless, they didn't talk to each oth...

[Qemu-devel] [PATCH RFC 1/7] virtio: relax feature check

Can we perhaps apply at least the feature-bit-size extending patches prior to your patchset, if the remainder of the virtio-1 patchset still takes some time?

(Censboot, Z-score, Cox) How to use Z-score as the statistic within censboot?
Dear R Help list, My question is regarding extracting the standard error or Z-score from a cph or coxph call. My Cox model is: - modz=cph(Surv(TSURV,STATUS)~RAGE+DAGE+REG_WTIME_M+CLD_ISCH+POLY_VS, data=kidneyT,method="breslow", x=T, y=T) I've used names(modz) but can't see anything that will let me extract the Z scores for each coefficient or the standard errors in the same way one can use coef (modz). I need to get either the se or Zsco...

RFC: Large, especially super-linear, compile time regressions are bugs.
...ow far does the encoded threshold fall from your own. Bias is a *very* hard thing to remove, even for extremely smart and experienced people. So, while "which hunt" is a very strong term for the mild bias we'll all have personally, we have seen recently how some discussions end up in rage when a group of people strongly disagree with the rest, self-reinforcing their bias to levels that they would never reach alone. In those cases, the term stops being strong, and may be fitting... Makes sense? > I agree. Did you read the part where I was mentioning that we're working in the...

If anyone is interested in X100P Cards, I have quite a few brand new ones. Never been opened. $55.00 each, and I'll include ground shipping anywhere in the U.S. If you want one or more, email me off list at bbawkon@malibutech.com And since the discussion has been raging, if you are looking for support, you should buy a new one from Digium.
