PRI messages while running
I have an Asterisk system running on T1 PRI trunks using a TE405P. It seems to be running ok, but one thing puzzles me. Every so often I get a raft of messages like this: -- B-channel 0/1 successfully restarted on span 1 -- B-channel 0/2 successfully restarted on span 1 ....... -- B-channel 0/22 successfully restarted on span 1 -- B-channel 0/23 successfully restarted on span 1 I could understand having them when starting up or when the D ch...

Hello
New to mailing lists and Markup as well so please bear with me. I have been looking for two things. A project management system that syncs with Notational Velocity as well as something that lets me write and format script in plain text, then have that converted to the proper formatting for a script. I was wondering would Markdown have the ability to do this or have the changes necessary for this?

...n about dealing with custom loads/stores, and following Chris' suggestion, the IBM Cell SPU backend can generate code for "int main(void) { return 0; }" without crashing llc. There's a lot of work still to be done... like getting frame offsets correctly computed and hauling in the raft of intrinsics that the Cell SDK defines. Three quick questions: - How does one deal with multiple instruction sequences in a pattern? To load a constant is a two instruction sequence, but both instructions only take two operands (assume that r3 is a 32-bit register): ilhu $3, 45...

Visualising multiple response contingency tables
...he best way forward and I don't have a very efficient way of getting there. I will present my solution so you guys can take a look. The fundamental problem is that because of the multiple response data, you can't simply apply a normal Chi-square test to the contingency table. There's a raft of approaches, but I've decided to use a simple technique introduced by (A. Agresti, I. Liu, Modeling a categorical variable allowing arbitrarily many category choices, Biometrics 55 (1999) 936-43.) and refined by Thomas and Decady and Bilder and Loughin. In summary, the test statistic (a modif...

I would guess that reply-to is getting added because of header munging. Turn off munging and this all goes away.

Customizing desktop systems
My company is now in the process of rolling out enterprise desktop systems (mostly rhel3 since we have some commercial software that is not quite ready for rhel4). Most of our users (ca. 120 workstations) are using RH9. I've developed a simple, extensible set of kickstart post procedures and firstboot procedures that provide a quick way to image new systems, but one thing is missing. I

USB question
...at WINE doesn't fully support USB access from a Windows program? I'm curious about support for satnav (PNA) devices by the proprietary support programs they use for updating maps, etc. The AppDB shows that TomTom Home doesn't currently work, but what about the support programs for the raft of cheap WindowsMobile devices, e.g. the Binatone X.350 or Mio PNAs. I can't find any mention of them in AppDB. Martin

The Wisdom of the Crowd and Wine Critic Ratings
....http://chloehandbagsspring2011.com But then the papers started to be published, and now the AAWE has made it clear that they're quite serious in trying to apply the dark arts of statistics and economics to the world of wine -- a world that can increasingly be quantified and examined thanks to rafts of data available online.http://chloehandbagsspring2011.com The associations publications can often be met with controversy or criticism, and that's putting it a little mildly. I've heard one wine writer refer to their work as utterly fraudulent, and read many a lambasting blog post aimin...

Wine-users mail storm - long explanation
...ast August); it appears to be about 2,000 messages altogether. So here is what I believe to be the whole picture: 1. Last April, we connected the wine-users to the NNTP style newsgroup comp.emulators.ms-windows.wine. For a brief shining moment, this worked, although we got a raft of complaints about exposed email addresses. 2. This was fundamentally misconfigured on my part. I used the same news server I use for my office, forgetting that my office ISP is different from the ISP we use for WineHQ. But it worked; my office ISP was forgiving, apparently....

CTDB startup issue
...this. I think that one option mentioned in "Designing Data Intensive Applications" is to use timestamps instead of sequence numbers... but I guess then you might have issues with timestamp granularity. I think quorum can also help here (need, say, 2 of 3 nodes active to make progress). Raft might also avoid this for similar readings. I need to more time to re-read things I've read before... but am happy to take advice... :-) The summary is that the persistent databases in CTDB use sequence numbers so you need to ensure that one node in the cluster is up at all times. If you fli...
