Text/Binary Files. HELP!!!
...e someone must have come across this.
Is it possible to force files to binary when copying to Unix directories.
NT -> Unix. Text Files have got ^M in them. How do we prevent this
happening. Would forcing to binary fix the problem & if so how would this
be done?
Thanks

Samba & subnets
....221
191.9.211
The Sun Solaris box lives on 193.71.221.1 and all PCs on that subnet can map
to the Sun box without any problems. All PCs on the 191.9.211 cannot
connect to the samba drives giving the error "Network not Found". Any help
would be much appreciated.
Thanks

CPU scheduling of domains and vcpus
...t gang scheduling can lead to wasted cycles,
but that might be acceptable in certain situations. In fact, wasted cycles
can probably be avoided by doing opportunisitic gang scheduling (i.e. gang
schedule, unless there would be wasted cycles) and by carefully choosing the
number of vcpus.

[patch 0/4] [RFC] Another proportional weight IO controller
Hi,
If you are not already tired of so many io controller implementations, here
is another one.
This is a very eary very crude implementation to get early feedback to see
if this approach makes any sense or not.
This controller is a proportional weight IO controller primarily
based on/inspired by dm-ioband. One of the things I personally found little
odd about dm-ioband was need of a dm-ioband

problems booting the guest domain
I am working with xen 3.2 and linux version linux-2.6.18-xen, both
downloaded with mercurial (that seems to be the only way to get XEN to work,
even though the README and user guide don''t say a word about it). I have got
XEN, dom0 and xend to work. Now I am trying to boot a guest domain from a
file backed VBD.
I am assuming that I can use the same kernel for both dom0 and domU, the
