Is there any software that can be run in windows to monitor icecast mounts, ie, user count etc.. The protocol of sending of metadata over a stream (which is HTTP) does not allow for this type of thing. Where is documentation on the format of the icecast stream. I can only find docs on the server. I've asked this before and several said RFC 2616, which says NOTHING about icecast streams. So, where is the docs on the actual streaming. Is it mp3? mp3 with id3v2? tj

Yea, don't get me wrong, ogg is definitely an awesome format but aacplus v2 is currently the leader in high fidelity quality at low bitrates. 24kbps aacplus even kicks ass in my view. I hope that this only stimulates even more competitive codecs at dialup speeds.
