Geoblocking on Icecast stations (radionomy)
Hi,
I stumpled upon Icecast, but I effectively can only play few stations
because somehow most of the stations that I'm interested in use the
radionomy service. After some research I found out that I'm not the
only one and that this company is blocking many countries worldwide:
https://www.google.com/search?q=this+radio+station+is+not+available+in+your+country+site:board.radionomy.com
Any chance to add a filter that filters out all stations r...

appearing in Icecast directory when changing stream provider
Dear community,
My webradio is currently appearing in Icecast directory there
http://dir.xiph.org/search?search=onstreet
I didn't do it It surely was done directly by my streaming provider
radionomy. In radionomy I have access to nothing but the stream link
http://listen.radionomy.com/onstreet
The thing is we are leaving radionomy for another stream provider. How to
keep appearing in Icecast directory then ? The only thing my provider gave
me is this link http://sv2.vestaradio.com/ONSTREET...

then to avoid on-the-fly compression, yp.xml can be compressed, say, once
every minute, cached and served from the cache.
2. Also, I noticed at hat all 1K entries in yp.xml right now come from the
same web site, radionomy.com. It claims ti has over 3K streams. However,
there are some issues with their entries which make them nearly useless:

Icecast YP listing
Hey,
I'm having trouble getting my radio stream to list properly on the directory.
We recently moved to icecast from shoutcast and it seems like the listen links are still pointing to the old radionomy streams. Plus, I've updated the website URL in the encoder to https://myvictory.ca/radio/ but it isn't getting updated in the directory. The only thing it's getting from my icecast server is the song info updates.
The listing can be found by searching myvictory. The stream urls should...

Yes, yp.xml is a snapshot of the streams that exist at the given time.
You should refresh your cache...

* At least Audacity team still uses VS 2008:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Developing_On_Windows
* Also the latest version of Winamp was built with VS 2008. But then
Winamp was sold to Radionomy, so who knows what tools they use now...

Why MSVS can compile memory.c when "#include <stdint.h>" was removed:
memory.c includes "private/memory.h", it indirectly includes <crtdefs.h>
where uintptr_t is defined. But it's implementation details......

Hi! I'm here again, I hope I am not too boring!
I took some radios from yp.xml 2 days ago, but today someone (like
http://streaming207.radionomy.com/AngeFM) answers to me :
"The file you requested could not be found"
what's the problem?
They doesn't exist anymore? They are off now and they could be on later?
Thanks

Bug: incompatibility with MSVS 2005
src/libFLAC/memory.c cannot be compiled with MSVS 2005 (and
probably VS2008 too) after this commit:
http://git.xiph.org/?p=flac.git;a=commitdiff;h=7cbecbae9f70be770f7651d09531fec0de6f9cf5
because MSVS2005 doesn't provide stdint.h. According to MSDN,
uintptr_t is defined in "STDDEF.H and other include files".

Thank you... but "just update the database" - hmm, what database?
Did you mean ARI? I still can't find the command! The asterisk wiki is
somewhat, um... spread around!

Some may wonder why bothering to humor StreamLicensig, but the thing is
that other licensing/royalty collectors did it the same way.
StreamLicensing are now sadly the only ones that cater to small
independent station that do not wish to be a pirate radio. (LoudcIty wet
belly up and Radionomy who know owns Shoutcast and WInamp does things
differently, Live365 also do their own thing.)
It is a shame that Icecast v2 can't be used/supported. Today Icecast v2
is not an option due to te lack of those stats and Icecast-KH is not
that well supported. Result is that people are either st...
