CCP Believes Australian Government Can Be Bought
...atly embarrassed the Chinese government and caused it much distress, because it did not want to have to face Falun Gong practitioners in open court proceedings. To help the CCP, the Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade provided several solutions. Dr. Geoff Raby, Deputy Secretary of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, promised the Chinese government that when he visited China in March, 2005 that he would ask for the materials from the Supreme Court, cancel the lawsuit by the Falun Gong practitioners and put a...

Kernel-loadable Root Kits
Thanks for the module, I think its a good idea to commit it to FreeBSD for a few reasons: 1) Some folks just prefer more static kernels. 2) Securelevel is a great thing, but can be a pain to do upgrades around remotely. [A lot of folks use FreeBSD simply because its a breeze to run remotely]. 3) Until someone writes code to add modules to a kernel via /dev/mem and releases it to the script

zombie child process
Hi, This is the third or fourth time this happens. But puppetd gets a zombie shell childprocess and then never finishes the run. /opt/tc-puppet/bin/ruby /opt/tc-puppet/sbin/puppetd \_ [sh] <defunct> How do I begin looking on what can be wrong? This error has appeared on both 2.7.6 and 2.7.11. Regards, Elias -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups

Proposal for function vectorization and loop vectorization with function calls
Hi Michael. Thank for your feedback and questions/comments. See below. >>>>>I think it should be possible to vectorize such loop even without openmp clauses. We just need to gather a vector value from several scalar calls, and vectorizer already knows how to do that, we just need not to bail out early. Dealing with calls is tricky, but in this case we have the pragma, so we can

Hello Samba group, Problem: I cannot get samba share to grant access to my /shared share. Multi-User Security
Hello list. I would like to get your opinion on what is a safe multi-user environment. The scenario: We would like to offer to some customers of ours some sort of network backup/archive. They would put daily or weekly backups from their local machine on our server using rsync and SSH. Therefore, they all have a user account on our server. However, we must ensure that they would absolutely not be

neatest way to determine a major version of centos/linux?
Just started a rollout of centos 6.x across our Puppet deployment (100-odd servers). what fact would people suggest I use to distinguish 5.x from 6.x (quite a lot of subsystems are different between major releases)? lsb* facts don''t seem to be present on centos 6 - is this an EPEL bug, or have they just been removed in Facter? Thanks! -- You received this message because you are

ssh::auth sign of life?
Hi, First I would like to start of with a quote from http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/puppet/wiki/Module_Ssh_Auth_Patterns. "ssh::auth is currently in an unstable release. Please test it, and report bugs and feature requests on the Puppet users mailing list. Based on the results of people’s testing, the interface may change for the first stable release." Last update was
