Errors in wilcox family functions
...n. While there will obviously be errors using any approximation, it is possible to use an Edgeworth Expansion correction to uniformly decreases the error in p-value approximation without substantially rewriting the internals. An example patch and benchmarks are available at https://github.com/ahl27/R_Patches/tree/94e8e0bcf5076841637f1031ea9cf456ad18d7ef/EdgeworthExpansion. The built-in Hodges-Lehmann estimator has some edge cases that result in...

tryCatch in on.exit()
The following example involves a function whose on.exit() expression both generates an error and catches the error. The body of the function also generates an error. When calling the function wrapped in a tryCatch, should that tryCatch's error function be given the error from the body of the function, since the one from the on.exit has already been dealt with? Currently the outer tryCatch

bug with OutDec option and deferred_string altrep object
While implementing R's new 'altrep' functionality in the TERR engine, I discovered a bug in R's 'deferred_string' altrep object: it is not using the correct value of the 'OutDec' option when it expands a deferred_string. See the following example: R 3.5.1: (same results in R 3.6.0 devel engine built 10/5) > options(scipen=0, OutDec=".") >

Fwd: Bug report: cbind with numeric and raw gives incorrect result
Hi there, using cbind with a numeric and raw argument produces an incorrect result. I've posted some details below, kind regards, Mike. e.g. > cbind(0, as.raw(0)) [,1] [,2] [1,] 0 6.950136e-310 A longer example shows that the result is not a rounding error, is not consistent, and repeated applications get different results. > cbind(0, as.raw(1:10))

C headers
Dear list, Just upgraded to MacOS Mavericks, fresh install of R 3.0.2 and trying to install a previous version of my QCA package (the most recent one source file, which passed the R CMD check --as-cran with R 3.0.1) I seem to have some difficulties in the C code, apparently it doesn't find some headers (please see below): ============ $ R CMD INSTALL --no-multiarch
