Dear List: I am trying to find a command in R which is like the unix command "less" or "more" to show the data in a object of R. did anyone can help me on this? Is there a collection of such unix-like commands in R? Thanks. -ZRL [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Sometimes I print out a package and read about it and there are sometimes nice examples that I would like to run myself. Is there a way to bring them into R from the package or are they only meant to be typed in manually ? If manual is the only way, that's fine. I was just checking whether there was a quicker way. R-users, (forgive my return adres) I've been breaking my head why R---which i find fabulous, by the way---does not pipe interactive output through a pager (more or less), like it does with help(), or like GNU Octave does with arrays with more than terminal height rows.
