Looking for PRI Card with automatic fail over
...y PBX and one towards the carrier) with the ability to go to pass through should the Asterisk PBX (software or hardware level) fail. I did not see this feature in the Digium, Sangoma, Allo, or OpenVox cards. Does anyone know of a card that will do this? I know that Digium has an external box (the r850) that does something similar for 2 PBXs making them high availability, but in this case I only have the 1 Asterisk box acting as a gateway and passing some calls out over SIP and IAX2. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Eric -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was...

Upgrade from 1.0.x to AsteriskNOW 3.0

During my research I've found scripts on the internet that allow for failover using arp/nmap, however those appear to only work for hardware failures. I would need something that can account for both hardware and software failures. Thanks in advance for any advice that an...

It would appear my best bet would be to use the R850 Digium appliance. Does anyone have any experience running one of these devices along with AsteriskNOW? I ask because apparently from what I gather from the rseries admin manual, it's required to use flat files vs. SQL -- and obviously AsteriskNOW uses SQL. Failing that, I wonder if Aster...
