...arched several threads but can't seem to get it working properly. My LDAP server is Windows 2003 Active Directory. Is there any documentation specific to AD that I could look at or any other doc that could help me? My last effort was to put this in dovecot-ldap.conf user_attrs = streetAddress=quota_rule4=*:storage=%$M ,=uid=1002,=gid=1002,=home=/home/vmail/%u and this in dovecot.conf in addition to the other quota rules. quota_rule4 = *:bytes=%$ I then put the quota in the streetAddress area of AD. I'd certainly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hi, I confirm this bug with LDAP userdb. The temporary workaround is to set quota ignore rule for Shared namespace or specific shared folder. This is obviously not secure workaround. Example: for a shared namespace: namespace ( .... prefix = Shared Folders/%%u/ ... } you have to set quota_rule4 = Shared Folders/*:ignore or quota_rule4 = Shared Folders/username/*:ignore - Bartlomiej Nogas

Is there a way to signify to an IMAP client that the quota should be _EITHER_ 10 GB or 100,000 messages, just so a user doesn?t see that they can store a total of 0 messages ? My initial thought was to alter the previous quota settings by adding: quota_rule4 = INBOX:messages=100000 ? and restarting Dovecot and Apple Mail, but upon checking the quota?s on the user?s account, I still see that a user can store 10 GB or 0 messages.
