My dovecot works fine against Active Directory 2003, but not against AD2008

little questions:
3. I'm not planning on using quotas. Can I safely omit your mail_plugins = " quota"
setting and all your plugin { quota_...} settings? I want to be as simple as
possible to start.
4. Likewise, dovecot seems to be able to find users' mailboxes just fine. Can I
omit the namespace inbox {} setting?
These may seem like amaturish questions, but little details have foiled me a lot
on this Dovecot project.

quota issues
Hi I seem to be getting an error when quotas are enabled. Also I noticed
that the quota_ rule settings don't actually get used, the only settings
that are used are on the sql.conf file. Maybe I'm not understanding what the
quota_rule does but should I be specifying the storage/messages values on
there even though they are being read/used are on the sql.conf file only.

Problem overriding default quota limit
...have quota limit attribute Dovecot
doesn't take default value defined in quota plugin and assign unlimit
quota to user.
Our configuration is similar to the example from wiki (
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Quota/Configuration ). This is the plugin
configuration

And this is the recovered fields in LDAP search:

mailMessageStore=home,mailquotasize=quota_rule=*:bytes=%$_
It works if user has mailquotasize in its LDAP entry. But if it hasn't
it Dovecot assign 0 instead of ?*:STORAGE=1G...
