...oice oriented CODEC into our application.
We develop, mainly, in Delphi. We use C++ only to develop firmware for our

EFI & PXE-booting: very slow TFTP performance on a VMWare test setup

Fedora runs on an AMD A8-6600K at 3Ghz and has 8G of RAM. Ubuntu runs
on an Intel i7-2600K at 3.4Ghz with 16G RAM. I think they perform at
least "good enough" to quikly boot and install in BIOS mode. The
trouble only starts when I toggle the EFI switch.

Yes. That's what I started with. But then I saw this piece of code in
efi/udp.c and thought it would be wise to enable an extra CPU to

How to break out the unstop loop in the recovery thread? Thanks a lot.

So as the syslog file size increases quikly, and is very large and it occupy all the capacity of the system directory / remains.
So the host is blocked and not any response.
According to the log as before, In the function __ocfs2_recovery_thread, there may be an un-stop loop which result in the super-large syslog file.

Sendmail not on localhost
Hi .
I already set-up sendmail on another network server thus it would be
nice to use that one or is sendmail on * server required!?
I had a look in the archive but couldn't find any information where to
set the mail server from localhost to my network server .
Cheers

group by in data.frame
Hi all,
i have a little problem, and i think it is really simple to solve, but i
dont know exactly how to.
here is the "challange":
i have a data.frame with n colum, i have to group 2 of them and calculate
the mean value of the 3. one. so far so good, that was easy - i used
aggregate function to do this:
group<-aggregate(x[,1],list(x[,2],x[,3]),mean)
and now i have to copy the

[Mod: This message is a reason *why* linux-security is moderated list. This
is also a reason why Rogier, myself, Alan Cox and others really do not want
to have completely open lists that deal with security related aspects of
running a system as way too many people just jump to conclusions and give
suggestions without doing any reasearch on a subject. -- alex (co-moderator

EFI & PXE-booting: very slow TFTP performance on a VMWare test setup
Dear people on the Syslinux Mailinglist,
Are there any known problems with the performance of TFTP in (U)EFI
environments in general or maybe just on VMWare?
Right now I'm running tests on two virtual environments using either
VMWare Workstation 11.1.0 on a Fedora 21 system or VMWare Player 7.1.0
on an Ubuntu 14.10 system. Both virtual systems support PXE booting in
UEFI mode. Both systems

I have installed samba 2.2.7a and use the sysv printing system
The printers are configured using HP hppi
>From the unix host I can send a print to the printer
I have already checked the spool directory for the printers. and the spool directory that is used by the hppi daemon. They exist.
