Loading a package shared lib works in 2.12 but not 2.11
...a previous R version. We've created our own package containing a mixture of C++ as well as R code which works fine under R 2.12.1. However, trying to install the very same package ZIP file on R 2.11.1 will issue an error when loading a library: > utils:::menuInstallLocal() package 'quasar' successfully unpacked and MD5 sums checked > require(quasar) Loading required package: quasar Error in library.dynam(lib, package, package.lib) : shared library 'quasar' not found In addition: Warning message: package 'quasar' was built under R version 2.12.1...

Re: Printing /MYOB
...e. I don't understand enough about Linux to perform regression errors using those code(s), it's beyond my skill-level. I'm just a Linux user who became extremely tired of Windows. Since we don't have a need for networking MYOB, I'm thinking of switching to the free version of Quasar, just hesitant over all the data that would have to be re-entered. It would be so much simpler if Wine would start working again.

Rejoining an XP workstation to a domain
Hello, I have been trying to rejoin a computer to a newly remade PDC on the same domain name using Samba 2.2.7 on RedHat 9. I get this error message everytime I try: Title: "Computer Name Changes" "The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "Quasar": Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again..." I had gone as far as disabling the network interface, then reenabling it, and re...

Slow update time for Desktop icons
I've got one user that I just put onto the new Samba 3.0.8 server. He's on WinXP SP1. He has a ton of icons and things on his desktop (39M worth of data according to his profile) but I'm not sure if that is a problem. When he logs in, a few of his icons which point to network applications have only the default Windows shortcut image. If he right-clicks the Desktop and clicks

Kudos (and SVG)
Dear all, I have just finished my thesis titled "Gravitational Microlensing of Quasar Clouds", and the following paragraph appeared in my "Acknowledgements": "I would like to thank the authors of R and the R core team for their great skill and dedication in developing this software, and to all the members of the R-help mailing list, especially Brian D...

Connecting Asterisk to GSM
Hi List, I was wondering if there was any device I could use to connect * to GSM networks. I don't need much capacity, maybe 2-4 GSM channels. As usual, cheap is better :-) Any tips on this? Cheers, Jean-Michel.

Generating all possible models from full model
Is there a function that will allow me to run all model iterations if I specify a full model? I am using information criteria to choose between possible candidate models. I have been writing out all possible model combinations by hand, and I am always worried that I am missing models or have made a mistake somewhere. It is also difficult to alter models if I want to change a term. For example,
