Quantative procedure assessing if data is normal
Hi,
As part of an R code assingment I have been asked to find a quantitative procedure for assessing whether or not the data are normal?
I have previously used the graphical procedure using the qqnorm command.
Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated as to how I should start going about this!

discretization
Hi, there:
I have a variable whose distribution is far from
normal and its qqnorm is S-shape, like a logisitic
plot. My purpose is to discretize it into 2 or 3
classes. (basically, a transformation from quantative
to discrete). I am wondering if there is a good way to
do that.
thanks,
Ed

Data are stored in UTF-8, so it should be portable
# Facilitator helps to categorize codes, which is key to theory

# There is a case category, which is crucial feature to bridge
qualitative and quantative research
# Search information about selected case from the Internet vis popup menu
# Temporary delete files and codes
# Rename the files, code, code category, case and others

Effectively using a telco Type 102 Milliwatt Test line with ztmon itor -v to set txgain/rxgain in zapata?
I am trying to obtain optimum gain settings for a bank of analog lines
connected to a channel bank. My telco has provided a 'Type 102' test line to
use for incoming level calibration. This is functionally equivalent to app
Milliwatt(), but provides tone from the CO inwards.
Question is, how should one use this a 0dbm test source with ztmonitor? Am I
correct in understanding that a 0dbm
