kdewebdev aka Quanta or repository kde-redhat.sourceforge.net
does this exist for CentOS 4 ? OK - next level of question then... taking a wild swing, I set up /etc/yum.repos/kde-redhat.repo and for S&G's, I ran the obligatory 'yum update' to see what would happen. It's an aggressive update to be sure. KDE 3.5.0 (and all the dependent stuff such as qt) but also samba and openoffice. Is anyone reporting happiness / contentment with

Hard drives being renamed
Hi, We are running Centos 6.7 - 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64 on a Quanta Cirrascale, up to date with patches. We have had a couple of instances in which the hard drives have become renamed after reboot (e.g. drive sda is renamed to sdc after reboot). One time this occurred when we rebooted following the installation of a 10GB NIC card, another time after we tried...

Recommendations for Infiniband with CentOS 6.7
Hi All, We looking for suggestions on dealing with mellanox drivers in CentOS 6.7 We tried installing mellanox drivers (MLNX_OFED_LINUX-3.2-2.0.0.0-rhel6.7-x86_64) on a Quanta Cirrascale server running Centos 6.7 - 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64. When we rebooted the machine after installing the drivers, it went into a kernel panic for every installed kernel except for Centos 6.7 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64.debug. After we uninstalled the drivers, the machine failed to...

Upping my game on web work
...fice > and then hand-edit the html to fine tune it. But my web pages aren't > usually anything exceptionally fancy. > No word processor produces anything but absolute 100% pure crap HTML. Every single line has every possible option, and a few extras. The one HTML editor I ever tried, Quanta, had the lovely habit of, once you hit ?display", when you went back to editing, it has left justified *every* *line*. I hate to suggest it, but something like WordPress might be what you want, if that's not overkill. mark "my web pages proudly built in vi"

Lost my menu options again - KDE messes with Gnome?
...#39;t getting them back. Actually, I have some suspicion as to why I've lost my "Preferences" option in my "Applications" menu. Last time this happened, it happened after I installed Amarok and ended up with a bunch of KDE settings I didn't want. This time, I installed Quanta, which required some KDE libraries, but it didn't seem to cause as much chaos as last time. However, the implications are that for some reason, having any KDE programs seems to affect my Gnome options. What's up with that? Dave

After the interesting revelations about the X2100 and it''s hot-swap abilities, what are the abilities of the X2200-M2''s disk subsystem, and is ZFS going to tickle any wierdness out of them? -brian -- "The reason I don''t use Gnome: every single other window manager I know of is very powerfully extensible, where you can switch actions to different mouse buttons.

Best Environment for development
This is a newb question, and probably one that is a matter of taste more than objective merit. I''m working on a home server, running Linux [FC 4], hosting a website [look for generocities.com shortly]. I have a delightful new Windows XP Pro Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. What would the community recommend for the environment in which I develop? I don''t mean technologies like RoR
