OT: DVB-T TV on CentOS 4.4
Hi Folks,
is a question special to centos-user in germany I think.
I use centos on a desktop-system (yes, I know that centos is special for
servers) and I watch TV with an anaolg card. The qualitiy is not so high.
Now, I'm planning the use of an DVB-T Adapter. My question: There are any
experience or knowing problems with these kind of adapters and centos?
And which Adapter is recommendable?
Thx
Timothy

How to improve the quality of curve/line plots?
...e. g. GDP growth 1991-2003, the line seems to exist of a lot of smaller lines. Printing the results the curves and lines seems to be "unclean" (because of using small resolution bitmaps?). Comparing the result of R with the same results of Excel the lines in excel seems to havve a higher qualitiy. In Excel you also can produce curves instead of lines.
Are there any possibilities how to improve the quality of the plots in R? How can R be influenced to plot "clean" lines with a higher resolution on the screen (I think it's not a question of the pdf- or png command.). Perhaps, i...

Multi office samba domains
Hi all!
I've a computer acting as a PDC in a network with Samba+OpenLDAP working fairly well ina
Debian Sarge for several months (Samba servers, XP cients). It's working so well that my
company wants to deploy this system to all the offices (five offices physically separated).
Each office has it's own peculiarities so each one has to have it's own domain with shares
and so on.
