1.)Embedded "Compiz" on GoForce! 2.) "Developer Challenge", $5, 000 for grabs
youTube video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8kLFPfaxQ6U does anyone know what tools were used to make this and is Linux behind it? ... / anyone have experience with Qtopia? .../ as it seems to me, Qtopia Core (Qt/X11) might be good tool to do this... / there is even support for OpenGL ES Since they have "Developer Challenge" and $5,000 for grabs, i thought making Compiz with it would be nice little project and you might be the "right bunch" to go...

R-2.0.0 on ARM (Sharp Zaurus)
...ave a fully compiled version I'd be more than happy to run some benchmarks. Another thing to note with regards to usability, is that the OpenZaurus distribution now also comes in the GPE (X11 based) flavour, so R should be usable with all of its graphics. For those who want to stick with Opie (Qtopia based), a new development, XQt - which allows X11 apps to run inside a Qtopia/Opie window without needing to use VNC, as was previously the case - is available and it works very well. On to my progress... As ever the configure script isn't overly happy cross-compiling. The problem is the way...

Re: [iPAQ] Ogg Vorbis fixed-point math anyone ?
Actually, we have a integerized version of the vorbis libraries that are available, royalty free, with a simple attribution requirement. These libraries are 100% C code and run faster than real time on a cirrus 7312-74mhz processor (arm core). My guess is they should run at about 20-30% cpu utilization on a strongarm/200. Monty has this same code, but his version doesn't play b4 content real

PDA as source client
Has anybody used anything other than a PC as a source for icecast2? Are PDAs powerfull enough? I know vorbis encoding takes a signifigant amount of CPU power, but I've been able to do it on 4 year old PCs. Does a 206MHz Intel StrongARM 32-bit RISC processor have as much power as a 200 Mhz Pentium? I'm thinking Compaq iPaq, running Familiar Linux and IceS, would make a nice portable
