...39;s the trouble - this new win DC isn't starting SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares, in event log it states only "eventid 13565", no other errors. Of course, without this shares this DC isn't operational and when i shutdown samba machine - domain stops working. I tried MS kb290762 and Q312862 without any success, there are even no ldap objects, mentioned in articles ("cn=domain system volume (sysvol share),cn=file replication service,cn=system,dc=domain,dc=ru"; "cn=file replication service" is empty). I even tried to set up w2003 DC first, but with same result....

Hello, this is now my second attempt to join a Windows Server 2008R2 DC to a samba AD domain. I had to forcibly remove the first 2k8 DC from the domain after I messed it up completely in the first try. I followed "Demoting an Offline Domain Controller" from the wiki here. Hey all, has anyone done dcdiag against his DC yet? It's made from a windows client on command line: dcdiag /s:<servername> What are your results? With me some of the tests were not successful, e.g. ForestDNSDomain. My dcdiag is German so its output would not be so helpful for the mailing list. So somebody else can do a check to compare?
