I have gotten my program installed, and are using the appropriate wine friendly patcher, but when I try to run it to update the program (Lord of the Rings Online) I get an error: rundll32.exe has encountered a serious error... etc etc etc. Any idea's of what I should do with this?

Hello folks, I'm fairly new to Wine but I've always wanted to play LOTRO on my macbook pro so I installed Wine 1.2 and winebottler and followed the instructions that the lorebook and others had in installing it (created prefix/bottle of lotro installer, installed lotro, installed pylotro into prefix/bottle [but to load pylotro I would have to go into the bottle and find the pylotro.exe and run with wine] Here's my problem... when I run Pylotro through wine it loads up just fine saying, "Initialising, please wait... Pre wine version 1.2.26 sound worked fine in lotro and the in game audio options page showed the sound card in a dropdown box and titles for all of the sound option slide bars. Now i've upgraded to LM 9 and following the same procedure, DDO is crashing. LoTRO however, is still running fine. I'm using PyLoTRO as the launcher and I made sure it is fully patched. I want to give you guys a debug list, but i'm not sure how to do it. Do I list pylotro as the app in the terminal line? Thank in advance for replies.

...had the same outcome, so I thought I would try PlayOnLinux but couldn't work out how to install the game. I then installed Wine 1.2 after removing crossover for games and PlayOnLinux and any other install of wine. I ran through the standard installer for lotro which went fine, then installed PyLotro which also worked. But when I run the game it lets me login on the launcher then get the box up that gives you option for exit/save (similar one that used for patching).
