disjointed namespaces with samba working?
Hi,
is it possible to use a so called disjointed namespaces without having
to "fake" the hosts fqdn giving it the AD-name as hostname?
Background:
We have a unix and a Windows world and each runs below it's domain.
Let's say UNIX-DOMAIN and WIN-DOMAIN. When there is the need to bring
the two worlds together the first choice is to use samba4 on unix joined
to the AD domain name

4.10.0 is the first Samba version that defaults to python3, that is

Samba nns winbind not working
Hi,
i have a centos7 system, build samba from source usif samba-4.9.6.tar.gz
done provision as ad dc and all working good (i use samba a lot of time
in past)
than i have problem on domain users/group, system not read them
vi /usr/local/samba/etc/smb.conf
[global]
dns forwarder = 192.168.0.1
netbios name = DC
realm = TECNOGM.LAN
server role = active
