in par(mfrow=c(1, 2)), how to keep one half plot static and the other half changing
...e left one is a
bird-view plot of the whole data, the right half keep changing, i.e.,
different plots will be shown up on request, so that when I
select/click on some where in the left plot, the right plot will be
the corresponding plot.
What I did is:
par(mfrow=c(1,2))
plot(x, y)
while(1) {
...
pxy <- locator(1, type="p")
#select data point (dx,dy) based on pxy for a new plot
..
plot(dx,dy)
}
I ended up with the left plot is overwritten by plot(dx,dy). Is there
anyway to keep the left side intact while changing plots on the right
side?
Thanks a lot!

how to change my data to "point data set" in package "SPLANCE"?
Hi!
I want to use the package "SPLANCE" to do Ripley's K analysis
I have a basic question about the package.
I try to find how to do it, but I cannot.
I hope you can help me.
I donot know how to change my data form to "point data set".
my data form is:
> qumo[1:5,]
code species dbh x y tag status branch

Stochastic (transition) matrices: how to determine distributions and variance?
...tion of Tx(t) we can determine the *mean*
counts of these classes at t+1 such that:
x mean (t+1) = Tx(t) = [A mean (t+1),B mean (t+1),C mean (t+1)]
What I want to know is what is a) what is the *distribution* of
A(t+1),B(t+1) and C(t+1), and what is the variance around these mean
values? Since pXY are stochastic probabilities, it seems that the
distribution and variance should be calculable.
Thanks!

Huge number
Hi,
I'm trying to calculate p-value to findout definitely expressed genes
compare A to B situation.
I got this data(this is a part of data) from whole organism , and each
number means each expression values (that means, we could think 'a' gene
is 13 in A situation, and it turns 30 in B situation)
To findout probability, I'm going to use Audic - Claverie Method. ( The
significance
