Wine installer
Hi, when I run ./tools/wineinstall, I get this: Warning !! wine binary (still) found, which may indicate a (conflicting) previous installation. You might want to abort and uninstall Wine first. rpm -qa | grep wine gives nothing find / "*wine*" gives: /etc/opt/kde2/share/applnk/SuSE/Settings/YaST/notinstalled/System/Emulator/wine.desktop

Half-Life: Selected Mode is not supported by your card

Since some places are menshioned in the HOWTO, that you should check after this error, I get: root@notch:/home/pwk/wine/wine > ./configure creating cache ./config.cache checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether...

In-band user data
Hi, I'm moving my "metadata" which accompanies some of the speech packets into the speex bits. However, as usual, I'm a bit confused. The manual (PDF from current SVN), section 5.10 (bottom of page 21) states that: "Finally, applications may define custom in-band messages using mode 13. The size of the message in bytes is encoded with 5 bits, so that the decoder can

[PATCH] XCode Projectfile does not contain window.c
Hey, the xcode Projectfile from current speex svn which can be found at macosx/Speex.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj is missing the file window.c (which leads to linker errors). Attached you can find the output of svn diff after fixing this. Peter -- The best things in life are for a fee. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I wish the numerous project files (for visual c++, xcode etc.) that are not so "common" get tested and updated more frequently. Hi, I installed Half-Life via wine on to boxes today, one with a Voodoo3 and one with a TNT-2, everything went fine, upgraded to the newst Half-Life Version (1.1.1.0). Now: On the Voodoo3 box, I can play singleplayer, works like charm (maybe a bit choppy sometimes, but that's barable. On the TNT-2 box, when I go singleplayer, after "Loading..." wine gives "wine: Unhandled

reommended settings for low bitrate voicecom codec ?
Hello, the voice-communication TeamSpeak (www.teamspeak.org) is currently testing a version that supports speex codecs. The quality for high bitrates is quite good. BUT, the low-bandwidth speex codecs that are currently used arent very good. What I did to find this out: I comprared a speex AVB with 6.3 KBit/sec (total, overhead for packets and stuff included) and the 6.3 Kbit/sec Celp Codec
