Error running CVE-2018-1057_helper on 4.5
I tried to run this script on a system running 4.5.15 built from source
under Ubuntu 16.04, but I get the following exception:

cupsaddsmb problem

Running it in verbose mode only gives the following:
[root@ourschool printers]# cupsaddsmb -U jpb -h localhost -v HPLaserJet5L
Password for jpb required to access localhost via SAMBA:

Succesfully set HPLaserJet5L to driver HPLaserJet5L.
the final line of which suggests it's worked but the drivers aren't copied to
the /var/lib/samba/printers folder and the clients can't find the drivers
when p+p is tried.

[PATCH] Password expiry merge (AIX parts)
Hi All.
Attached is a patch introduces password expiry handling for AIX (other
platforms to follow). It is more or less the same as the previous patch
but has been updated to reflect recent changes to auth-passwd.c
I'm wondering if the AIX parts of auth.c should be moved to port-aix.c
and if the generic password change functions (currently at the end of
auth-passwd.c) belong in a separate

check password script
Hi all,
I'm quite new to all this, so please go easy on me if I don't quite seem to
say the right things. (any advice is good advice)
I have a 3.0.14a-debian samba install, with ldap auth using pam_unix (see
smb.conf below)
We want to implement a few password checks for complexity, so I have written
a pretty basic script (see below) which definitely exits 0 on a good

Win XP can't join samba 3.0 domain
