samba4, GPO and SYSVOL permissions errors

Changing shares permissions
Hi list,
I have a new install of Samba 4, and was wondering how I can define file
access permissions (read/write etc).
testparm and samba both reject the use of 'writeable' and 'valid users', so
I'm quite stuck as to how the permissions can be set.
