randomForest question--problem with ntree
Hi, I would like to use a random Forest model to get an idea about which variables from a dataset may have some prognostic significance in a smallish study. The default for the number of trees seems to be 500. I tried changing the default to ntree=2000 or ntree=200 and the results appear identical. Have changed mtry from mtry=5 to mtry=6 successfully. Have seen same problem on both a Windows

ipw220 wireless firmware for CentOS 5
OK, I've downloaded and unzipped the firmware files in ipw2200-fw-3.0.tgz - so I have 4 files: ipw2200-bss.fw, ipw2200-ibss.fw, ipw2200-sniffer.fw and LICENSE.ipw2200-fw, all of which I've placed in the /lib/firmware directory. Unfortunately, the instructions in README.ipw2200 and INSTALL are not clear as to what to do next. I'm using CentOS 5 on my (Dell) laptop so setting-up wireless

Error in placing call file in directory
...or is it ok to clutter the list with it ? I used the sample file given by asterisk, and have also checked out the examples on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+auto-dial+out Regards -- Chris Blake Cell: 082 775 1492 Work: +27 11 782 0840 Fax : +27 11 782 0841 Mail: chris@pixcel.co.za If a putt passes over the hole without dropping, it is deemed to have dropped. ssh shell spawn
...2() the 0,1 and 2 fds with the client socket fd (I guess it does like this, I've no another idea without pipes, but I've read do_exec() and nothing about pipes, so... how can it be possible if not like this way?) for the best working of the application. Basically I want to know where can I putt the code below. Thanks in advance. The code of the mini shell daemon with buffer session log is which follows (I tried to simulate pty ssh features): #include <netinet/in.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <stdio.h> int main (void) { ? int fd_s = socket (AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, IPPR...

Re :Re: dns lookups for SRV kerberos
...c are taken from smb.conf only. - dns_lookup options not taken into account. Finally , with theis line in smb.conf password server = 10.0.0.2 the cached file krb5.conf.EXAMPLE "realms" paragraph became : ... [realms] EXAMPLE.DOM = { kdc = 10.0.0.2 } But, puttting back the a short name dcserver1 ( which is 10.0.0.1 ) in smbconf, it then becomes : [realms] EXAMPLE.DOM = { kdc = 10.0.0.2 kdc = 10.0.0.1 kdc = 10.0.0.1 } Back to start ! SO it kept the 10.0.0.2 from the former smb.conf, then added two entries fo...

Fixed zeros in tables
Hello All R Users, Function loglm() in library MASS can be cajoled to accomodate structural zeros in a cross-classification table. An example from Fienberg demonstrates how this can be done. My question is: Can the function glm() perform the same task? Can glm() estimate a log-linear model with fixed zeros like loglm()? Thanks for your help, Andrew ## Fienberg, The Analysis of Cross-Classified

Iptables questions
Hello, I have read and seen many options for additions to Iptables as a firewall and security system. All seem to react to logs and not to incoming packets (as far as I have seen) I am interested in doing a number of security ideas to the firewall, iptables, on my webserver. If you have a program you would suggest or believe iptables is the proper solution, please feel free to post that. Here

Problems with losing D-Channel on
...rk fine. To avoid problems with the phone line (german E1) I called the provider, he did a 45 min. route test with incoming and outgoing calls over all lines without any problem over the whole time. I also got a phone call with the providers service partner for the S2M part. He reset the line and putt he errorcounter to 0. After the test it was still on 0. When we plugged in the card again, there were again errors on the counter after ~ 5-10 minutes. After this, i put the asterisk, zaptel and libpri versions to newest versions, now it's working a bit better, but after 1 day fine work, it cr...
