Centos 8 Mate?
Without wanting to sound too pushy, I'm wondering if there is any update on the status of Mate now that Centos 8 has been released?
I would love to jump on C8 and start playing with it, but the lack of Mate is kind of a showstopper for me at the moment.

4.2 upgrade and kernels
Just curious about kernel requirements after the upgrade. I've been
running the 2.6.9-11.106.unsupported kernel for some time. Now I see
that the base kernel is up to 2.6.9-22.EL.
Are there any plans to upgrade the unsupported kernel?
Should I be using the newer kernel after the upgrade?
Does it make any difference?
Not trying to be pushy; just looking for information.
Thanks for all the

Domain Names, etc.
Hello All,
A quick update regarding the domain name issue. Ben and I have been in contact
with Guillaume and things are moving forward. Guillaume has installed a
re-direct page on compiz.com that provides links to both compiz.biz and
beryl-project.org. He has also agreed to give David the compiz.org domain
name.
David, could you contact either Guillaume or myself with your registry

Paravirt-ops VMI / Xen / lrustyvisor merge status
So, as 2.6.21-rc1 is approaching, what is the upstream merge status for
the paravirt-ops backends? I believe VMI is in Andi's tree, plus or
minus some bugfixes that are still being whittled in, but Andi, do you
think the VMI code is in good shape for merging?
It would be nice for everyone to clarify their upstream plans - is the
goal still to get Xen and lguest merged for the next kernel

[LLVMdev] dynamic linkage for jit
Sorry if it comes out a bit pushy bumping my own question, but it's been really difficult to find any info regarding this functionality
in the mailing list archives. Just some emails i've found from people working on NaCl:
http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2011-December/046055.htmlÂ
is there a branch where this is being work on, or is internal chromium project so far? Also

Re: [Asterisk-biz] SS7 and Asterisk solution
We'd be more than willing to test :) Our PRI provider has been trying to
push us over to SS7 for ages. So we'd be very interested in assisting
you.

[LLVMdev] dynamic linkage for jit
Hi Charllls, I didn't really get it. Are you saying that you would execute some
functions using the JIT then, later, those functions will be modified and thus
need to be re-jitted?
Ciao, Duncan.

[LLVMdev] dynamic linkage for jit
Hi,
I want to execute functions in a module, this module will have dependencies resolved in other modules. the modules might change (dynamic compilation environment) so i would prefer not not link all the dependencies in a single monolithic module, that is, if it can be avoided
I hope to use Linker::linkModules but this is always destructive. That is ok for one module depending on a single one,

Re: [Asterisk-biz] SS7 and Asterisk solution
When are 'we' going to have this solution Steve? :) You keep talking
about it, and we keep asking when it's going to come about.
I know myself, SS7 will be a make or break for our continued use of
Asterisk. Even if we had some price indications would be good, and/or a
timeframe?
Don't want to seem pushy, but it's been on the cards for quite some time
now.

FYI about my Mona Vie business venture
Asterisk work does not pay all of my bills, so I have joined up with a company that has a very good payment plan.
I have recently become a Mona Vie Independent Distributor.
I am not going to go into a sales pitch.
This is just an FYI to this opportunity.
The company has grown into a Billion dollar company in just 2 years.
This company's compensation plan is the best and quickest that I have

Building a UK based e-commerce store in rails
I have built a few sites with Rails, however I have been approached by a
company wanting an e-commerce / online shop built. I would love to build
one in rails with the knoweledge I now have. I have the agile book and
the pickaxe book they are my reference guide. However there is virtually
nothing on creating real world e-commerce sites in rails.
They will be selling to both businesses and the

Two GCC warnings flags you should enable ASAP
Josh,
There are two GCC warning flags you should enable for all the
C code ASAP. From the gcc man page:
-Wmissing-prototypes (C only)
Warn if a global function is defined without a previous prototype
declaration. This warning is issued even if the definition itself
provides a prototype. The aim is to detect global functions that
fail to be declared in header files.
