Unable to install important application
...oices are "OK" or "Terminate Setup" When I press "Terminate", Setup terminates and I have no idea, which files setup wanted to update. When I press "OK" something very odd happens: On the screen appears a window only consisting of a border, a tiltebar and 1 pushbutton, client area is transparent, the titlebar flashing all the time. Just like if the window was opend an closed in some endless loop. The only way to stop this is to press Alt-F2 (to get an Linux comman entry). When I had pressed Alt-F2, the flashing window appears completely. It contains: a graphical...

Wireless Mic System
...orly in wireless mics. Batteries will cost you a surprising amount of money, and 9v make that 4x worse. If at possible buy units that you make the settings using physical switches, preferrably requiring a screwdriver. All-analog packs survive alot longer than digital packs. All the fancy digital pushbutton systems are begging to fail, and actors/performers can't resist playing with them. Covers that snap shut over the pushbuttons; the overs are flimsy and the puttins get mashed right through the flimy shield. If sweat gets in, the microprocessor is done. Prefer units that have cheply replacabl...

Wireless Mic System
jduran wrote: > Your wisdom please! Sennheiser is a reputable brand. The model you cited is in their lowest cost series. I have sold a number of these systems over the years. Their first generation (not G2) were problematic in not being very durable. I don't have as much experience with the G2, but the few we have sold have worked fine for several years. My first choice for most

Java Bridge Itext Example Anyone?
I MAY be able to derive something out of the present example given here : http://blog.codeinmotion.com/index.php/2006/12/22/pdf-generation-in-ruby-on-rails/ but this deals with filling out forms. Is there a simpler example that just allows you to talk to itext , send it some plain text and get back a pdf and then send that pdf to the user as downloadable / renderable data? -- Posted via

phone as control interface(was99bottlesofbeer)
Hi All, sorry if I post again this e-mail but I think the first one was lost. I don't know if this is OT but I'm working in my spare time at a small hardware project that match to what's requested below. It's a board with Input/Output capabilities and 10Mbps ethernet interface. It has Microchip software TCP/IP stack on it. Being at a very beginning stage, you can see a little

anova
I am totally confused as to how to use anova. I have three vectors and would like to use anova on them but I don't understand how lm or glm comes into play. In matlab, you just give the three vectors. Why isn't it the same in R? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anna

"new" computers and monitors
Until recently, I had a 32-bit machine with one monitor running fedora. The later editions of fedora didn't like it, so I switched to CentOS. Now I have two 64-bit machines and two monitors and a CenturyLink router. Also a KVM switch that I have not taken out of the package. My main machine has two video connections and two ethernet connections, eth0 and eth1 . I've never had more than

Fwd: Re: Asterisk as a Condo door opener/intercom
Asterisk as a phone system makes perfect sense in a condo. You can get all the DID's you want and eliminate costs for the owners. You can offer standard FXO for people who don't care and IP sets for people who want to "upgrade" to feature sets. Your door openner is a piece of cake. 1. Create an option in your dialplan only in the "from-access-door" context that reads
