Hi, I was wondering if anyone would know the cons of running a PAE kernel...? I have a 4GB pc and was wondering if it was worth going the PAE way to gain those exta 700MB... In the past, I heard that these 700MB were normally reserved for bios or chipset stuff... And that running in PAE would slow down some processes. ...MD boxes. I installed the rpm kernel-2.4.21-15.ELorafw1.i686.rpm and booted that kernel. Then I installed the 3 binary ocfs rpm's (ocfs-2.4.21-EL-1.0.12-1.i686.rpm, ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1.i386.rpm, ocfs-support-1.0.10-1.i386.rpm). Now ocfs is being force loaded, tainting my kernel. In Werner Puschitz's Howto it says that these warnings can be ignored. Had I been doing the right things? I am not a linux expert. Hi, I've tried to install Oracle Database 10g on CentOS but installation doesnt start saying op. system should be RHEL 3, SUSE 9.0... (or upper) etc. does anyone knows how to install Oracle Database 10g on CentOS. Should I modify runinstall script? Thanks.

Has anyone got Bastille-linux running on Centos-5.6? http://bastille-linux.sourceforge.net claims RHEL5 support but I ran into problems running it on a Centos 5.6 test system.
