Re: Windows XP machine not connecting to Samba 3.04 after upgrade
Hi,
as I wrote before: I'm not able to connect a Windows XP Pro notebook
to a Samba 3.0.4 server. All the other machines (most Windows XP Pro,
but also a few Windows 2000 and Windows 98) can connect without any
problem.
This one machine is not part of the NT domain because it needs to
connect 1 or 2 times a week only, and is on the road most of the
time.
The machine could connect

R-alpha: keep.order in formulae
...a reason why keep.order should not become an
argument to "lm" and "glm", rather than forcing the use of "terms".
I.e., the above could be written:
anova( glm(formula, ..., keep.order=T) )
Having to resort to the use of "terms" seems like a complication my
punters could do without.

Silencing VoiceMail() app in * 1.4.10
Hi there,
Googling through the archives it looks like I'm the ferst person to want
this...
My aim is to set up a voicemail application with a custom greeting before
*AND AFTER* the punter has left the message.
Right now the relevant section of my dialplan is like this:
exten => 2,1,Playback(/media/asterisk/answerphone-en)
exten => 2,n,VoiceMail(2000,s)

Best Codec
We are evaluating starting a small VoIP consumer based platform.
What is the best codec to use with customers using primarily DSL as
internet connectivity?
I know that g729 is the king-all, but I want to know what the rest of
the professional are using out there. g729 has a cost involved, so does
the cost really offset the performance? Or is it better to go with g711
to start off?
We plan

Decoding for ambisonic Ogg audiob
The prospect of people actually putting B-format audio (via the panner
or directly input) into Ogg/Vorbis brings an interesting challenge:
What do we do with the audio after decoding it?
The following sane options exist:
A) Simply output the B-format audio
B) Produce a downmix
1) Mono.
2) Stereo blumlein crossed pairs
3) Stereo UHJ
4) binaural
C) Produce speaker feeds
1) Fully

Any ongoing effort to port /etc/rc.d/pf_boot, /etc/pf.boot.conf from NetBSD ?
Hi,
[I have added freebsd-security to recipient list as I consider
this issue a security risk]
