APC Backups Pro Low Batt
It there a way to get the genericups driver to set a output on the serial
port?
On the APC BackupPro the will pull the BattLow line low with a pull down
resistor
it's up to you to from the PC side to pull the line high with a pullup
resistor from one of
the RS232 output pins. Then monitor the line with another pin.
Regards
Rabie

Quiet upsmon /var/log/messages chatter
...way to reduce that chatter.
I found the "Driver not connected" condition can refer to either the TCP connection down between the client and the server (fd < 0), or between the server and the device driver or the device driver and the UPS (commstate <> 1). The attached patch to pullups() in clients/upsmon.c suppresses the messages sent to /var/log/messages every five seconds when commstate <> 1, since DRVNOTCONN is actually expected in that case.
There is another place in try_connect() in clients/upsmon.c that causes messages to be written to /var/log/message every five s...

Is the X100P a WinModem?
So I've been on the Asterisk list for a long time. Mostly looking to set
it up as a cheap alternative to a commercial MeetMe bridge, as a for-fun
project.
I keep noticing the Wildcard FXO X100P sorta seems like a Winmodem.
Winmodems are basically a sound card chip tied to a pots port, where the
Winders driver takes on the MO/DEM functions in software. I've always
despised them as a data

[FEEDBACK] Governance of GlusterFS project
Hello everyone,
We are in the process of formalizing the governance model of the

loosely structured. This is an invitation to all of you to participate in
this discussion and provide your feedback and suggestions on how we should
evolve a formal model. Feedback from this thread will be considered to the

Problem reading vitals from Gigabyte H77-DH3H
Hello everyone,
I'm unable to read temperature Gigabyte H77-DH3H motherboard. Is that
motherboard supported or am I doing it incorrectly?
When trying to access hw.acpi.thermal everything appears to be ok, but
it is not, the system always returns 27,8C and 29,8C which fooled me
initially - the values never change.
Here is output:
[chinatsu]:/root# sysctl hw.acpi.thermal
