Tried out Beryl (Animation pugin)
Hi
I just tried out the new 0.1.0 release of beryl. Generally I do like the
compiz fdo version, because I like the gconf integration and the
metacity theme support in gwd. Also I think their configuration system
is a complete mess, this beryl settings manager is completly bloated in
my opinion.
Anyway, I noticed they have quite a lot of plugins. While I found most
of them nothing special, the

I'm moving this over to flac-users...
Anyway, are you using Mike Wren's installer? I'm not familiar
with that yet.

Plugin or Gem install is too slow
I''m using a Macbook with Leopard 10.5.4 . When I try to install a plugin
from a remote source via Terminal it takes a long time to finish
downloading all the files to my vendor/plugins folder. My internet
connection is not slow (average of 4Mbps). When surfing with a normal
browser, eg firefox, it''s not slow at all . I tried several plugins from
different locations and with all

Adobe Flash Install Woes
I am having a hell of a time getting adobe flash to work on a recent 5.2
install.

Running firefox as root -- I have verified there is a symlink in
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins that points to the actual plugin located in
/usr/lib/flash-plugins

SoI then copied the plugin directly into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and
eliminated the symlink from the equation.

[Flac-users] Re: [Flac-announce] Winamp not in default directory
Yup... I troubleshooted this with Chris already... seems he didn't
actually install Winamp, but just created a shortcut to winamp.exe to
launch the program. This means that there is no winamp info in the
Windows registry, thus, the installer doesn't think winamp is installed,
and it skips the Winamp plugin install. Even if I had the installer check
the default install location (\program

Dovecot auth-master socket as postfix table lookup source.
...s implement lookups directly against dovecot. Such table
can be used for postfix virtual deliver too.
It seems implement Dovecot authentication protocol for use in postfix
table lookup mechanism is relative easy. Also there is no need to patch
complete postfix source code. Postfix allow to create pugins (external
dynamically loadable libraries) for such task. recent postfix source
code already includes such plugins for mysql, ldap etc..
My question is - my be some one has already made such plugin or my be
someone is interested to cooperate in such job. [my be Timo itsef?:))]
