RH9 to centos 5 386
I am testing the likelyhood of updating a couple RH9 systems to centos 5 386. octave
trying to install octave from epel onto centos 5.2, and getting dependency errors. only place I could find this RPM was in epel, which I 'thought' ran on native rhel5/centos5 without requiring any other repos, but I guess I'm wrong?!? google tells me libhdf5 is some sot of 'heirarchial data format' library, whatever that means. # yum install octave Loading

nspluginwrapper failure on x86_64 in 5.2
This was working in 5.1 - I am now getting errors when I try to run a flash video in seamonkey under CetnOS 5.2. Here is the error: For application/x-shockwave-flash found plugin /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so sh: /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer: No such file or directory Here is what I have installed: $rpm -qa | grep -i nsplugin

Yum missing dependency
I haven't run any updates on my systems recently, but now I'm trying to get them up to date again. When I run a yum update, I get this error: Error: Missing Dependency: initscripts >= 7.93.26.EL-1 is needed by package httpd I did a Google search, but I didn't find anything relating directly to CentOS or RHEL and there was no fix suggested. If it makes a difference, I am running
