Yum errors
Hi,
I have a machine that recently had some file system corruption. fsck was able
repair the file system but I am getting the following error when I try to
do yum update:
[Errno 21] Is a directory: '/var/lib/yum/yumdb/e/2f883c08e3b596b66fcc19c6b4d73b11c9aaa43e-e2fsprogs-1.41.12-14.el6_4.2-x86_64/checksum_type'

wbinfo problem
Hi all,
I am trying to setup a samba pdc using the "making users happy" example from
Samba-by-Example. Everything seems to check out fine except that I cannot get
wbinfo -u to work. When I do wbinfo -g I get a list of the groups. If I do
wbinfo -u I get the following:
(pocono pts4) # wbinfo -u
Error looking up domain users
(pocono pts4) #
I tried turning up the logging for samba but wbinfo does not seem to generate
any entries.
All of the other tests I have tried work. I can even use smbclient to login
and poke around.
I am using samba-3.0.14a on Red Hat EL4 running on an...

Thanks for the quick response.
One more question, when I created the Unix Admins g...

Also When I create the shares do I set the permissions to root:Unix Admins?
If I do getent group "domain admins" nothing returns. Which I believe is because
Domain Admins does not have a unix GID assigned.
If I do:
(vfs2 pts4) # getent group "unix admins"
unix admins:x:10001:
(vfs2 pts4) #
That works. Since unix admins is a member of domain admins is that good enough?
I am trying very hard to get this right but given all of these special cases
and documentation that gives different advice, it is difficult at...

Good, whilst 'Domain Admins' isn't used by the default GPOs, it is used
(as an owner) by other GPOs you will add.

Samba configuration on Dynix
Am currently attempting to upgrade from Samba 2.0.3 to 2.2.2 on a Sequent
Quad Processor (IBM, NUMA-Q) box running PTS4/Dynix. Every time I try to do
the configure from the source it stops with a message saying 'Checking for
test routines... configure: error: cant find test code. Aborting config'.
Has anyone any experience with this, or a similar error on other 'nix.
Thanks

self compiled 4.10.3 replication failure.
....6 VM that I self compiled 4.10.3 and joined it to an
existing samba AD domain that has 2 existing DCs. One of the existing DCs is
