Moaning dog...
Here's one for you phone people.... An elderly lady phoned her telephone company to report that her telephone failed to ring when her friends called - and that on the few occasions when it did ring, her pet dog always moaned right before the phone rang. The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this psychic dog or senile elderly lady. He climbed a nearby telephone pole,

failed assertion in 1.1.8: istream.c: line 81
Hello, We're having a problem in Dovecot 1.1.8 with a failed assertion on certain mbox format mailboxes. It happens both with deliver when it attempts to delier to the mailbox, and with IMAP connections for the affected box (though I'm not sure what they're doing at the time). [LLVMdev] RFC: "Building with MinGW on Windows" (DOC, NEW)
Here's the first part of my Windows set up documentation. This one only covers the process of setting up a normal box for building LLVM and Clang. A later document, which will follow in a few days, will cover how to set up a buildbot slave. As usual: I'm not a psychic, so if you have opinions regarding or suggestions on this document, please feel free to share them with me (on this

How to backup data from an installation in order to restore them in a new one?
Hello. I appreciate the advice and maybe "revoked" is not an appropriate word, so I will use another one: Machine (A) is going to be "shut down forever". Do my questions deserve another answer given that clarification? And, by the way, I have two DCs (a "provisioned" one and a "joined" one). The two DCs will be "shut down forever" and replaced

Testing for scale e mu in survreg
Hi, Normally I make survival analysis using survreg in survival package. It is simple to compare curves for different levels. But in this case all curves have the same estimated scale parameter. In some cases, curves are graphically different in your behaviour. One curve is like type I curve (1/scale > 1). Other curve is like type III curve (1/scale < 1). All graphics made normal and

About the statistics for ratio comparison
Hi I have a table with four columns and 3 rows. I calculated the average for each columns as average (A), average (B), average (C) and average (D), then calculate the relative ratio as average (A)/average (B), and average (C)/average (D). I would like to know how can I calculate the significance between the two ratios. Thanks, Meng [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Directed pickup syntax?
What's the proper syntax for implementing directed call pickup? Running cvs-head from today (9/24/05 including Mark's fixes), and tried: exten => *99,1,Pickup(${EXTEN:3}) but that does not seem to work, and there isn't an example in the configs directory. 'show application pickup' suggests the above should work with our sip phones, but apparently I'm missing
