Multiple Uplink/Providor w/VPN?
Hello all, Just wondering if it can be done? 2 site, 2 linux boxes (1 at each side), each site has 2 internet connections. Can you create a VPN over those connections to utilize both? It would seem like it would need 2 vpn''s (1 for each pair). Any info is appreciated. Sam

cheap cloud providors
Hey guys, Apologies in advance if this question is in poor taste. But I've really fallen in love with learning about the cassanrdra database. The only problem is that it doesn't run very well on an t1.micro instance at amazon and the larger sizes are quite expensive. An m1.small can do the trick, while still not optimal. So I was wonder if there was any real value in the cloud or even

rake tells me to install gems that are already there
...still get the same error. I''ve no clue as to whether this is a hostmonster problem or something in a rails script or configuration file that I''m overlooking. I also found a gem called gemsonrails. So I was thinking if I link my gems to my application, then push it onto my hosting providor, I won''t need to manually install gems then? Does anyone have any experience with gemsonrails? Thanks -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Display Name
I have an NI2 PRI connection to a 5ESS switch. I am explicitly told to use NI2 as the protocol, not 5ESS. I am running Asterisk 1.2.4. When making calls to the PSTN, Asterisk sends the calling name as part of the display information element in the SETUP message. I need to be able to send the calling name as part of the facility information element in the SETUP message. I've seen that work

Setting outgoing callerid on when using a PRI
Hi list. I've googled around for this, and so far have come up short. I'm attempting to set the outbound callerid when making a call using our PRI. I've talked with ATT (the providor) and they have said the screening table has been disabled, so anything my phone system sends for callerid should be passing along. However, when I make a call, the primary number assigned on our PRI is showing up, not the value I've set. Here is how I'm making the call... exten => _91...

Order Issues -- Missing require?
Good Evening! I''m having issues with the order in which items are ran inside of a service class, it''s attempting to run before the provider is present (the provider is provided by the glassfish package). It looks for the glassfish provider prior to inheriting the repository or the package list. http://snipt.org/woomg I have included a snipt of the code, does anyone have an

My adventures with Wine and Netscape
...in size. I do _not_ think this is a wine-related problem, but I hoped folks here might be likely to know (I am fairly unfamiliar with MS Windows, last I used was 3.11): is this a possible/typical scenario, a 0-byte file giving (bogus) permissions errors? Anyway I sent a help request to the plugin providors for a "new" .ini file, we'll see what they say. :) In conclusion, my experiences so far with wine (I've got a funnier one prior to the netscape if anyone is interested :)) have been neither uninteresting nor unsatisfying, and I am really grateful to the developers for the tremen...

CentOS 3.4 - i386 release
...s 3.3. Dag's excellent repository of Enterprise Linux RPMS. can be found at http://dag.wieers.com/home-made/apt/ -- RPM -- Due to an upstream bug that causes RPM to fail and requires manual elimination of the RPM database, CentOS 3.4 ships with the RPM used in CentOS 3.3. When the upstream providor releases a patched RPM the CentOS team will follow suit. CentOS 3.4 ships with rpm-4.2.3-10 as did CentOS 3.3 rather than rpm-4.3.3-13 provided with rhel3 U4. RAID10
Hi All, I am looking at ZFS and I get that they call it RAIDZ which is similar to RAID 5, but what about RAID 10? Isn''t a RAID 10 setup better for data protection? So if I have 8 x 1.5tb drives, wouldn''t I: - mirror drive 1 and 5 - mirror drive 2 and 6 - mirror drive 3 and 7 - mirror drive 4 and 8 Then stripe 1,2,3,4 Then stripe 5,6,7,8 How does one do this with ZFS?

Call termination database
I've been considering doing a web based database system, where you can post your termination offerings or wanted, then search by location, price, minimum volumes, etc. I'd probably make it free, supported by advertising my consulting company, or Google Adwords, or something like that. I've got the design written down, all ready to start coding. I could probably have a prototype
