2nd NIC troubles
Hi All,
I have 2 NICS in this system. CentOS 6.4
eth0 is the virtual IP from PFSense mapping connected to the router, works
fine.
eth1 is a second NIC that I have assigned a private IP to and connected it
to a switch on the private network. I have many other private devices, so I
know this setup works.
When I connect the cable to the switch and bring up eth1 the system
basically stops taking

Check public/private RSA keypairs
...on several local networks as well as on
clients and am writing on a little "zeroconfig" tool to add new (newbie)
clients to the net without having to vnc to them for ages.
To do this easier, i wanted to have a possibility to check somehow if
the public key stored on the server mathes the provate key on the
client, or if it needs to be regenerated.
Now i figured i can output the public key to a private one by using
openssl rsa -in rsa_key.priv -pubout
this one will print out a public key in the same format as the public
key stored in the hosts file, i tested it with some clients, and every...

weakness of helper?
Hi ,
It comes to me that helper has some weaknesses:
1) It is hard to test . No easy way to write test code for it.
(or Just i didn''t know?)
2) Not easy to reuse it on other controller/view/model.
it looks like to that putting the helper code into a model (a
fully helper model , or a mixed model) is good practice.
However i agree that some html intensive

Specify non-default libiconv, readline, libpng, tiff etc during R compilation
...great solution, as I need to compile several versions of
R in the same environment, libiconv, readline, libpng etc would be different
version too. This concept will allow me to do so without contaminating the
global default libraries.
But I found that, R ./configure does not locate the customised, provate
libiconv, readline etc in the designated location. It still looks from the
default one like /usr/lib, /usr/local/lib etc (typically, is older version).
I am wondering if any R user has done the similar work and can share some
experience.

Derrick

IAX Dialstatus
...ial plan, in basically this
Dial(IAX2/user@provider/19995551234,,)
Goto(failedcall-${DIALSTATUS})
failedcall-CONGESTION plays congestion
failedcall-CHANUNAVAIL plays congestion
failedcall-BUSY plays busy
everything else loops back to congestion
Here's the output from the * console, with most provate data
search/replaced.

run with incorrect E1/T1 jumper settings
Hi,
I have installed an TE110P but forgot to change the jumper
settings to E1. I don't have easy physical access to ther server
at the moment so I wonder if it will be possible to run it without changing
the jumper settings with a configuration like below or will it be
impossible
to use the card at all before I fix the jumper? I can't try it myself yet
since the operator isn't ready

howto
I have this configuration:
UA1 ---> FW1 ---> Asterisk ----> FW2 --> Internet --> UA2
UA has provate address (192.168.x.x)
Asterisk has public address
I want to be reach somebody at the internet.
My idea was that asterisk works as a Proxy.
Then i would have a SIP/RTP connection between UA1 and Asterisk and an
other SIP/RTP connection between Asterisk and UA2. (asterisk is bridgeing
these calls...

Firewalling, Ports and rtp.conf..
Hi,
Am I correct in this..
I want to setup IPTABLES to protect my * box..
The default rtp.conf defines that * will use ports 10000 to 20000..
IAX listens on 5036..
SIP listens on 5060..
I am assuming all ports used by * are UDP..
So I am planning on setting my server to block all inbound traffic except UDP ports 5060, 5036 and 10000-20000..
Am I leaving anything out??
Thanks..
