Legend text -- discrepancy between X11 and postscript
Hi,
When I place a legend on a plot it looks exactly as I intended
on the screen. However, almost always, when I export this to
postscript file, the legend's text protrudes through the legend's
frame (the latter being placed correctly).
See the appended example code. I can send the EPS file as well
for those that are interested (<4 kb; <200 lines).
I found nothing in the FAQS, or in R-intro to enlighten me. I
tried few things --- changing font size, sett...

[RFC] Using Intel MPX to harden SafeStack
Hi,
I previously posted about using 32-bit X86 segmentation to harden SafeStack: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2016-May/100346.html That involves lowering the limits of the DS and ES segments that are used for ordinary data accesses while leaving the limit for SS, the stack segment, set to its maximum value. The safe stacks were clustered above the limits of DS and ES. Thus, by

significant anova but no distinct groups ?
Dear all,
I am studying a dataset using the aov() function.
The independant variable 'cds' is a factor() with 8 levels and here is
the result in studying the dependant variable 'rta' with aov() :

Df Sum Sq Mean Sq F value Pr(>F)
cds 7 0.34713 0.04959 2.3807 0.02777
Residuals 92 1.91635 0.02083

Why should the systemd monolithic bloatware be shoved into the kernel,
especially when you claim the kernel has "over four million lines of
code!" ?
Seems like a tactical

Question about persp3d label direction
Hello, R experts
I am a new user of rgl package.
I want axis label to be parallel to the axis.
However, I cannot find any options in package manual.
Could you show me how to how to make label be parallel to crresponding axis.
Especially, Z axis label, in case that it is long, protrudes out of the plot and invades the plot.
Please, let me know. I spent every night and day of even a month.

Crossover cable for E1 ?
I'm looking to connect a BMC 450 to an asterisk with a Digium Quad E1 card.
Am I right in thinking that I'll need a special 'crossover-E1' RJ45 cable?
If so, any clues where I might buy one in the UK? The Digium card sellers don't seem to
stock such a thing.
Thanks.
Tim.

least summed square distance + fit
hi,
I have a matrix (representing original data) that looks e.g. like this
(consider it beeing x,y,z coords):
441 447 0
265 407 0
374 223 0
288 574 0
669 309 0
591 195 0
595 475 0
424 351 0
I get a second matrix (subject data) that is similiar to the above
matrix but it is scaled, translated and rotated (and of course a little
inprecise).
Also I have an
