Server migration and software upgrade Suse 7.3/Samba 3 to Suse 9.3/Samba 3
...hought the Samba HOWTO docs BDC approach for migrating from NT4 might
work but it seems to be missing something. The last thing i want to do
is have to build the PDC from scratch, touch each workstation to
connect it to the new domain as the applications (Creative Solutions
Accounting, UltraTax and ProSeries) are very touchy.
Any help in making this run smoothly is greatly appreciated.

excessive TCP retransmissions with samba 3.0, slow file opening
Hello all!
I've got a Fedora Core 3 box running Samba 3.0.8.
It serves a variety of roles, including mail server and samba server.
The mail server is quite fast, but the smb server generates lots and lots of TCP retransmissions (as seen in ethereal). The general consensus is that this is new in the last few weeks. One user has been reporting speed problems for some time, but no metrics were
