[LLVMdev] Documentation Issues Welcome?
...uestions so I wouldn't know how to raise the issue other
than pointing out the sincere annoyance on the mailing list.
Documentation isn't ever a big day-to-day focus. The work
you have been doing on llvm, clang, and the automatic
bug finder code has been phenomenal and I'll gladly take
prosaic documentation if that means faster development. But
since 2.5 is a big "numeric" milestone whether folks have
followed the project or not, there will be more eyes
focusing on the docs so I thought I'd at least ask about
the issue.

Possible bug in 3.0.2 - "Manager is watching"
I call this one the "Manager is watching" bug since it *only* happens
during demonstrations.
Really. I am not kidding. Caused me some, er, awkward moments not
once, but twice.
Actually, the reason may be more prosaic. Here is the situation.
I am using FC4 on an EM64T host with the Xen mods - VT enabled.
I have two VMs. VM1 is Win XP (32 bit), VM2 is RHEL4U1 (32 bits)
booting to run level 3.
In most case this works fine. However, if I run a vnc server in the FC4
host so I can dempo the system,...

(off topic) Re: Notepad
...t; together is that most people come
to R as migrants; they already have an editor, a browser, etc. that they
know how to use. Learning one thing is easier than learning many (Jon
Baron's comment on interference is most relevant).
2) NotePad isn't a great editor, but it will serve for the prosaic tasks
that one encounters while learning R. I don't use it myself, but R is
supposed to work under Windows and that is the editor that comes with
the system.
3) The usual number of responses spent a lot of time dissing NotePad and
advertising their favorite editor. As various contributors no...

MySQL THD via PID Provider
I want to go a lot deeper with my tracing of MySQL and to do so I want to look into MySQL Thread Descriptors (class THD). Inside is a great bulk of information utilized by a great many of the core functions within MySQL... I really want to get in there.
So far I''ve had no luck though. It''s a C++ class, and I''m afraid that I''m approaching it like a C struct,

Rwinst.exe problems
I've heard from several users who report no difficulties using the
Rwinst.exe installer for the released version of 1.2.0. I've blown away
all traces of 1.2.0 on my system and have re-downloaded all 10 zip files
and the installer on both my NT and Win2K boxes. The memory-overwrite
error persists on both systems, suggesting that there is some
incompatibility between the 1.2.0

R Documentation(s)
Dear all,
I am interested by the various messages sent to the r-help mailing list
these last few days about documentation on R. Yet, there are a lot of
issues actually open on this topic, and it is not clear to me what is the
"urgent need for documentation" on R.
R comes with the 'Introduction to R' by Venables et al. I recommend the
colleagues and students in my lab who are
