Rails 1.1 for new apps only
Hi, I was very excited to hear that Rails 1.1 project has been released. It gave me the fire I need to get started on a pet project I''ve been thinking about. However I have a couple apps that don''t seem to play nice with Rails 1.1, mainly Typo. So my question is: How can I install Rails 1.1 for only a new application? thanks, scott.

What failover solution for advanced router ?
...lover advanced router ? The router for which I need redundancy is quite complex: 1) has 5 interfaces 2) uses the same network and the other network IP aliases on some interfaces 3) uses bunch of policy routing rules 4) uses proxyarp feature on some interfaces 5) uses complex iptables setup [propably not important in this issue]. What I need to achieve is basic failover, I do not criticaly need transparency failover. I found some docs about ip_takeover with fake utility but propably it has too weak features [and uses old ifconfig]. Also found vrrpd tool but I am confused if I can really...

Foreign key constraints, fixtures, and rake task
I''ve got a spec that loads a fixture in the "before" block. This works fine running scripts/spec, but when I run rake spec instead, I get: ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid in ''User in fixture :quentin with an IM service but no IM name should be invalid'' Mysql::Error: Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails

Measuring voice quality with Asterisk
Hi! I want to use Asterisk as load generator to test quality degradation with increased load (e.g. testing other SIP equipment or IP-links). Is anybody aware of such a setup with Asterisk - is it possible to get RTP statistics out of Asterisk (e.g. jitter, packet loss, reordering ...)? Thanks Klaus

Linux server & client in Win2k3 AD domain
Hello folks! I am trying to make sure we can use Linux/Win2k3 mix in my company. After reading up in the documentation I fealt it sounded so good I would propably get there with little effort... Well, halfway there I got fast enough. But that won't do... I have successfully joined the AD-Domain from my Linux host. And I also can authenticate a AD user in the Linux host. I used nsswitch and pam.d/system-auth with winbind... However I can't get to t...

[LLVMdev] mapping types from a bitcode module

Since that > doesn't seem to be the case in your situation, you propably would have > to use the name, or attach other metadata to uniquely identify your structs. I was actually fearful of this approach, it looked to me like the linker was at least partially copying data structures to the destination module. I see that there is a mutateType() method in Value, thou...

Disable NO_USER_RESPONSE (Hangupcause = 18) for certain SIP peer
...luding audio in both directions. So this means, I need somehow to tell Asterisk to ignore the lack of acknowledgement. So now to the question, since the call is dropped automatically after 30 sec with "NO_USER_RESPONSE" (Hangupcause 18) on the far end (the callee's end), propably because the Android native Client is not acknowledging the connected call , is it possible to tell Asterisk to just ignore the lack of acknowledgement from Android somehow? Basically, for Client sip09 (username), never hang up for the reason 18 (NO_USER_RESPONSE), threat like user response was...

[LLVMdev] Annotating known pointer alignment
.... Assuming you meant the "preferential >> alignment", according to the langref. > > no, I meant the ABI alignment. If the LangRef says the preferential > alignment > then I'm pretty sure the LangRef is wrong! Yep, the InstCombiner in fact uses the ABI alignment, so propably you are right and the LangRef is wrong. Cheers, Clemens

Accountcode and SIP Peers Part 2
Hi, notice that i have Grandstream phones and i have the problem if i activate the Send Anonymous function on them. If i do not activate that option the ACCOUNTCODE is correctly populated. SO i think it may be a bug of asterisk. I'm using Asterisk CVS-HEAD-10/07/04-18:07:25 . Thanks, Bye, Marcello

Test CVS HEAD Voicemail ODBC Storage
...oicemail messages in a database. This is not using ARA, the Asterisk Realtime Architecture, but directly interfaces with ODBC from app_voicemail. It stores both meta data and audio in the database, which will give you real scalability if you have the voicemail accounts in realtime as well - you can propably have many servers handling the same voicemail accounts without bothering with NFS file locking and such problems. We need extensive testing of this new feature to make sure it's ready for release! There's also a patch in the bug tracker that extends this functionality a bit that needs tes...

Packet Interception
...the following is my requirements: 1) our requirement is to capture all packets originating/destined to a particular machine. This also includes ping packets to same machine/localhost. i.e. at machine A we want to also capture packets originating from say machine A and destined to machine A (these propably do not go to data link layer). 2) we want to experiment the behavior by adding delays to those packets, and that is why we want the actual packet and a copy of packet wont serve purpose. 3) we are open to listen at whatever layer (datalinke/network) and so how can we achieve this functionality....

metadata in video file for distribution in HTML5?

I have the video files already converted and I wish to add some metadata to video file (and propably to HTML5 page too?) I'm thinking about year, copyright, author, name, description What is your recommendation about tags I shall use? Which tool I can use to add these tags to existing Ogg file? Is enough to just set NIS domnain to <none> in ADUC to "clear" GID at groups/users which shouldn't have it? > A gidNumber can be used on any Unix machine in the domain, a xidNumber will only be used on the DC.Finally I got it. wrong extension status when call-limit=1 is used
Without call-limit defined, when a sip extension calls another sip extension then "show hints" shows that both are InUse (as expected). When one of them hangs up, both hints status become "Idle" (as expected). With call-limit=1 for each SIP extension: the caller is always Idle while the callee is InUse. Is this behavior normal? Doesn't sound right because if, during the
