multiple applications to reduce complexity but how to interact...
Hi,
we are building couple of application that will need to communicate with
each other, because there where special in what they do, I will explain
it with some general application:
For example, you have a projectmanagement application, where you can
store messages, milestones, enc, and you have a online time registration
application. Now you want to be able to setup the task for each
milestone in the timeregistration application but still have a
projectmanagement application for client that don''t ne...

Naming join models
...s
trying to turn a verb-type relationship into a noun-type reification
of that relationship.
For example, what do you call the reification of the relationship of
a Participant to a Meeting? A "Participation"? An "Attendance"?
What about a Student to a SchoolClass? A ProjectManager to a
Project? Start pluralizing and things get even uglier. Naked join
tables have their drawbacks, but at least they are easy to name.
I suppose I could name a class ParticipantEventJoin to get a table
participant_event_joins. While that would make things very obvious
it lacks a cert...

...he past and hoped they might have it but could not find geany at all searching their site.
I should also add that I could not get the source code for 1.37 to compile on my system due to some tool that is too old so did not pursue that further.
Is anyone running 1.37 under C 7 and can confirm that projectmanager plugin is at 1.37?
Thanks.

Samba, Lotus Notes Domino, PDF
Hello list,
now I do not have a problem with Samba3. I have only a
question where I need some suggestions:
We have Lotus Notes Domino Server 6.5. This Server is
reachable via Internet and an Internetbrowser.
The application this Domino Server is running is an
projectmanagment system. A lot of different Companys are
working over that managment system for one project.
They are autenticatet by the Domino Server.
Users are able to append documents (Word, Excel, ACAD etc)
to the workflow.
But now not everyone has as example ACAD, so they are not able
to view ACAD docume...

Am I off track on my testing?
Is it just me or does anyone else miss being able to create something
quickly. Once you start writing all the tests your time is now
increased by a factor of 10. I agree with the logic in testing, but am
I doing something wrong?
Take the simple example of a controller test for an index action that
shows all the forum posts for a user account.
The controller code would be something like what is

...deleting their hard drive image.
As for Networking... I was thinking of using something high level, like
Jabber. While Jabber was designed for instant messenging... it could
easily be used for "interprocess communication." The hypothetical
Folding at home client would contact "ProjectManager at foldingathome.org" to
get it's data. The processing node's "Jabber ID" would be something
like "node at domain/foldingathome". The server could send updates to the
node, and the node could send updates to the server... all without
worrying about "IP...

[LLVMdev] LLVM based Virtual Machine "Environment" idea sanity check.
I've got an idea for a program, and after readig about 1/3 of your
documentation, I think LLVM is what I'm looking for.
What I'd like now is some help to see if my idea is "sane" and and shed
light and direction that could be provided.
I want to build a simplified "Virtual Machine" containing:
A Terminal
Hard Drives (image files)
Some Kind Of Networking Device

Collection proxies need to be stubbed ?
Hi all !
I just started writing specs on a new project. I would just like to
validate that this is the way you would write it. I know about mocks,
stubs and expectations. I don''t think this is a problem for me.
My question really boils down to:
def index
@projects = current_user.projects.active
end
My spec needs to return the proxy, no ? Here''s my code:
