ProgeCAD windows C++ Library run time error
Hi, I'm new to Linux and even newer to wine. I'm using the latest release of wine 1.3.20 on U10.10 - the Maverick Meerkat. I work as an AutoCAD Draft Person and as much as I have fallen in love with my Ubuntu OS I am really disappointed with the lack of quality CAD software. I came across ProgeCAD (2010 Pro) on a couple of forums and saw in the AppDB section that ProgeCAD has some

Hot Tier
Hi I'm looking for an advise on hot tier feature - how can I tell if the hot tier is working? I've attached replicated-distributed hot tier to an EC volume. Yet, I don't think it's working, at least I don't see any files directly on the bricks (only folder structure). 'Status' command has all 0s and 'In progress' for all servers. ~]# gluster volume tier home

Wish: a way to track progress of parallel operations
Hello, thanks for bringing this topic up, and it would be excellent if we could come of with a generic solution for this in base R. It is one of the top frequently asked questions and requested features in parallel processing, but also in sequential processing. We have also seen lots of variants on how to attack the problem of reporting on progress when running in parallel. As the author

Wish: a way to track progress of parallel operations
Hello R-devel, A function to be run inside lapply() or one of its friends is trivial to augment with side effects to show a progress bar. When the code is intended to be run on a 'parallel' cluster, it generally cannot rely on its own side effects to report progress. I've found three approaches to progress bars for parallel processes on CRAN: - Importing 'snow' (not

Hot Tier
Hi, If it was just reads then the tier daemon won't migrate the files to hot tier. If you create a file or write to a file that file will be made available on the hot tier. [feature request?]: Show progress only for big files
Hi, I've read through the rsync manpage, this mailing list, asked Google and studied lots of posts on stackexchange.com (stackoverflow, superuser...), askubuntu.com and some others, concerning rsync's capabilities of showing progress information. But all I've found was what I already knew: --progress (or -P) shows a progress information for *every* file transmitted, --info=progress2

Mongrel upload progress not showing progress on production server
Hi all, Tried out the mongrel upload progress plugin with Drb and it works great on my OSX development box, but when putting it into production (Ubuntu Dapper), uploads complete but the app isn''t returning any values for upload progress, and uploads are not showing up in the queue when running upload_client.rb. Before anyone asks, yes, I''m running both the mongrel instances and

Cannot get progress bars to work w/ Apache Progress Module
I am following this screencast http://railsillustrated.com/screencast-file-uploads-progress-in-rails-passenger.html as well as comparing this against all the other rails Apache Progress Module progress bar examples and I can''t figure out why I am always getting a 404 routing error: ActionController::RoutingError (No route matches "/progress"): I have a feeling that

Mongrel + BackgrounDRb + File Column = Upload Progress Bar?
Hi there, I''ve been digging around trying to find some information (mostly examples) on how one would handle a progress bar upload using BackgrounDRb and File Column. I did read http://backgroundrb.rubyforge.org/ and Ezra''s blog of course, but I still have a few questions. I made a simple upload form (as a test) that is submitted to the "upload_song" action. def

Hot Tier
Hi At this point I already detached Hot Tier volume to run rebalance. Many volume settings only take effect for the new data (or rebalance), so I thought may this was the case with Hot Tier as well. Once rebalance finishes, I'll re-attache hot tier. cluster.write-freq-threshold and cluster.read-freq-threshold control number of times data is read/write before it moved to hot tier. In my case

Fwd: RSync Progress Report Request
...er. This could also ne a useful addition to the compond -P option, say with a argument of 5 seconds. Situation... I use RSync all the time to syncronize my home directory on my work machine with that of my home machine (or visa-sersa). I use verbose to give me a report on just how the rsync is progressing, and that it is still running okay. The works well until rsync transfers a very large file (sources and RPM's) in which case just sits there, and the only way I can see how it is progressing is to look at the 'dot' file rsync is creating. So I turned on --progress. Great I can see th...
