Problems trying to compile H323 from CVS-STABLE
I'm trying to compile channels/h323 and chan_h323 from CVS-STABLE, on
Fedora Core 3.
Firstly, despite the warnings in h323/README, I decided to try using
the distro-specific versions of openh323 and pwlib. Of course, the
Makefiles in channels and channels/h323 assume that openh323 and pwlib

R Optimization 101 for R Newcomers: An extended example
...cumsum() function that does this (looping in the
underlying C code), so one only has to figure out how to make use of it.
The essential idea to do this is to get a small sample from the large
mydat sample that is guaranteed to be bigger than one needs to total up
to more than K. Again, one can be profligate: if I need about 10 mydat

"try()" to make sure if I am faint of heart). If smallsamp is this
sample of the next 30 or 40 values from my large bootst...

Low-memory Centos5?
Good morning,
I've inherited an old laptop from my wife that I'd like to
use when I travel (it's fairly small with a 12" screen). The
bad part is that it is maxed out on memory with 384MB.
Has anyone played with using Centos5 on systems with
little memory? Ideally, I don't need too much - Firefox,
Openoffice, a little Perl/Python/C here and there. I was
thinking about using
