Fractional logit in GLM?
Hi, Does anyone know of a function in R that can handle a fractional variable as the dependent variable? The catch is that the function has to be inclusive of 0 and 1, which betareg() does not. It seems like GLM might be able to handle the fractional logit model, but I can't figure it out. How do you format GLM to do so? Best, Rachael [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

How to use mle or similar with integrate?
Hi I have the following formula (I hope it is clear - if no, I can try to do better the next time) h(x, a, b) = integral(0 to pi/2) ( ( integral(D/sin(alpha) to Inf) ( ( f(x, a, b) ) dx ) dalpha ) and I want to do an mle with it. I know how to use mle() and I also know about integrate(). My problem is to give the parameter values a and b to the

temporal and spatial pseudorreplication with lmer
...ts (3 seasons during 3 years and 2 season during the last year, factor named percod, with 11 levels) of a bird presence/absence (pres.f) on 14 artificial ponds (charca.f). The ponds are integrated in 4 greater spatial units (zepa). I have 11 explanatory variables, some of them are continuous (prof1,prof2,prof4,capac,perim_veget,div_veg,div_herp) and some are factors (ungul.f,ganado.f,turb.f,peces.f). Not all artificial ponds have been monitored in all seasons, so I have some missing values in the dependent variable. I have thought that the correct model should be, ignoring the spatial pseudorrep...

Simple loop
...would like to create a new column that subtracts the minimum of H from H, but for S1 and P1 only the minimum of the data points falling into this category should be taken. So for example the three first numbers of the new column write: 24-16, 16-16, 67-16 the following numbers refering to Site1 and Prof2 write: 23-23, 56-23, 45-23. I think with two loops one refering to the Site, the other to the Prof, it should be possible to automatically create the new column. Thanks a lot for any help. -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Simple-loop-tp3492819p3492819.html Sent from t...
