http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397 ------- Additional Comments From dtucker at zip.com.au 2002-09-18 00:55 ------- Not sure about error 1, but error 2 has been fixed in -current (see bug #265). As for error 3, the last time I built using the native compiler, I used "CC=xlc" which worked; if possible try that. ------- You are receiving this mail because: -------

Editing N instances of a model on one page
I have a situation where I want to edit an arbitrary number of instances of one model on one page. I can and have accomplished this by manually managing the object <-> text field relationship, but in a way I consider at best hackish. I''d like to know a clean way to do this. If you want to edit the name attribute on a person class, you write code like this

SwitchTower 0.10.0
SwitchTower is a utility that can execute commands in parallel on multiple servers. It allows you to define tasks, which can include commands that are executed on the servers. You can also define roles for your servers, and then specify that certain tasks apply only to certain roles. It was developed primarily to ease the pain of deploying Rails applications to multiple machines, but can

Sound Events in Gnome
In Centos 4.1: The sound events in Gnome see to sort of work. The start up (login) wave file however never plays. Various event sounds once logged in do seem to work. The logout wave file barely gets a few notes off before the final exit back to the login screen occurs. What could be causing the startup/logout sounds from not working correctly? Is there a work around for this?

KDE screensaver on Centos 4.1
The KDE screen savers will only blank out the screen though most of them test ok when you hit the test button in the Control Center. The Gnome screen savers work ok. My system has a Radeon 9200SE video card and I have a ViewSonic A70f monitor. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Gnome Logouts -- are very slow or they hang -- 2nd post
! I just installed Centos 4.1 (i386) on one of my test drives. When ever I try to logout of a Gnome session, it seems to hang but if I wait about 4-5 minutes it will usually logout, although I have had it hang a couple of times (never logs out). When I do an ALT-TAB-F1, and log in as 'root', I can see the following processes still hanging around after Gnome finally does logout:

Centos 5 Live CD
I just tried the Centos 5 Live CD on my Thinkpad T41. It works pretty good but did not recognize my Laptop's modem or WiFi (I guess no surprise there). I do have a CardBus modem that is not a Win-modem that I could try when I get home. I did not see anyway to configure a PPP dialup call. Is there a way to run kppp or Gnome's equivalent? -------------- next part -------------- An

Upgrade of Centos 4.1 with 4.2 ISO disc
Can I upgrade my Centos 4.1 system with the 4.2 ISO install disc? If so, how do I do it? It seams to want to do a full (i.e. format, wipe out old) install over everything. I do not want to lose my various configurations (e.g. kppp, kde desktop settings, etc) that I have already set up under 4.1. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I'm looking into adding a cloud to one of my servers. Criteria: security accessible via Windoze, Android Mobile Devices, iPhones, iPads, Macs Preferably something living under one of the better repos, such as epel An active project doing updates and adding features.
